RDD staking: "Generated but not accepted"...?

I've been staking some Reddcoin just for the hell of it, and the last two times a stake was generated I got the message in the title, "Generated but not accepted".  Oddly enough, another stake was generated tonight but with the date 7/24/19, which was the last time I got a stake that wasn't accepted.

Does anyone know what's up with this?

If it is repeated constantly, you may have an unstable Internet channel, it is desirable to make a wallet on the VPS.

Yeah, I kind of do have a spotty internet connection.  Also, I've been mining Gridcoin with the BIONC application which uses up a lot of CPU power.  Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I quit the app overnight last night and when I woke up, I'd successfully staked some RDD.  Interesting.

Thank you for that--I didn't even think to google for the answer to my question, but it figures Reddit would have the answer (I can't stand Reddit, by the way).  I'd staked some RDD a few months ago and had never had this problem, but at the time I wasn't mining the Gridcoin either.  I think I'll quit experimenting with Gridcoin, as the earnings are ridiculously low.

Good to see people trying to help, but inaccurate information in this thread.
"Generated but not accepted" means exactly that. You generated a block, but the network didn't accept it. It won't be credited later, but you've lost nothing as the coin-age in question is not reduced, and you will likely stake another block.

It simply means the block generated by your wallet is not accepted by the network because someone submitted the result before you. It’s just like a race; the blocks that are generated from your staking results also need to be accepted by the network. If the network accepts your block then you’ll get stake reward. However if it is rejected from the blockchain you won’t get any reward.
There are thousands of wallets / nodes around the world are staking and they all are competing for the next block reward. An Orphan / conflicted block is a result when two wallets stake and mint the next block for the blockchain at a similar time. The network cannot have two identical blocks. So the wallet client that staked a block and relayed to other nodes first will get accepted. The wallet whichever produced result after that will get rejected from the blockchain. "

Yeah, I should have made this a self-moderated thread, but I wasn't thinking.

I do appreciate the information and the link.  It's weird, since I started this thread I've gotten 2 stakes with the current dates, but I got one that was from about a week before it actually registered.  I'm still not sure how that happened, but I'm not complaining.  I am familiar with orphan blocks, having staked PIVX for some time and figured it was something like that.  The thing is, you can hide orphan blocks with the PIVX wallet and can't do that with the RDD one.  Oh well.

Playing around with RDD is kind of fun.  The rewards aren't pegged at 2 coins like PIVX is, and it's kind of nice to receive 100 RDD at once, even though it's not a lot of money.
