There are many messages from social networks and telegram with lots of promotions for you.
Don't join it, scammers are trying to approach you

For Telegram, the Admin disguised scammers and ask you to transfer money when you want to invest, always remember that the admin never sends you a message first.

For Twitter, a lot of messages send malicious code to your computer

Besides being careful with messages from email, discord, facebook.

These forms of fraud often occur in 2018, I think now the rate of success of scammers is very low. Thank you for your warning, new people who need to see

loan.ruiu1, you forgot about personal messages on this forum which is have huge number of users, and some of them only have evil intentions focused on naive victims. Such users often use old accounts (Hero&Legendary), mostly purchased for purpose of joining to signature campaigns - but when they get busted and marked with negative trust, they use accounts to scam others via PM.

Do not trust any offer on social media, they are cheapest way of scam - but also do not trust any offer you get here on PM or your e-mail / phone. Crypto is
an ideal platform for fraud, and in most cases it is very easy money for scammers, therefore we need to be more than careful.

It seems that the purchase of bitcointalk accounts is encouraged and this is suitable for scammers who want to give us confidence.

In a way, you're right, buying / selling accounts on this forum is not officially prohibited, but any member who gets caught up in such activity is marked with negative trust from DT members as a warning to others. But even if forum administration say that is not legal to buy / sell accounts, people will still continue to do that, and some sellers even advertise account selling in a way to say : "You can earn $xxx per week / month with this Hero / Legendary account"  - something like offer in this link :
