Stuck In Electrum

I've been using Electrum quite happily for a while and have some money in my wallet however I've just tried to send some and it seems I'm stuck. When I hit send it asks for my password as normal but then a warning message appears telling me I have to download another version from a different electrum address electrumbay. When I've checked this online I see some warnings that this may be a phishing site but I cant find a way to get past it and send my money, can anyone help please ?

Go download and install the latest version from the official website: https://electrum.org/#download

Make sure that you have your 12 words seed with you so you can restore your wallet.

Also uninstall the one you already have installed.

Electrumbay is a phishing site. Check here- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5170272.0, they have somehow injected the pop up. Use only the official source to download the latest version.

The only site you should ever be using is electrum.org.

Back up your wallet files.
Uninstall your current version of Electrum.
Download the latest version of Electrum (3.3.8 at time of posting) from https://electrum.org/#download.
Verify your download by following the instructions here: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/
Install or run your new Electrum version.
Open your wallet files as you would do normally.
