Peter make good point but bitcoin was created to fix the limitation of transaction/fee, debt etc. Anthony Pampliano once said "cryptocurrencies are built for machines i.e genius for it had for man to understand it concept. The potentials/bond posed by Bitcoin won't allow the switch mentioned by Peter.
I watched the debate also and they all have vital point, the mistake of bitcoin and gold just lies with people who always thing that bitcoin could replace everything and I fee maybe it is because it’s lack of knowledge of the whole cryptocurrency, what satoshi said in abstract is that it can be used as store of value also but never said it will replace gold, so what is the point comparing both.
We can't all have the same level of understanding but it not the lack knowledge that make people said Bitcoin will replace gold because it actually an act of over optimistic of people due to the strong influential power of Bitcoin.
