I have made a deposit to my BTC wallet through bitcoin.comwallet app on iPhone. . I have done this successfully before in the last few hours . However the most recent deposit I made has just been pending for hours . On the blockchain it just shows 0 transactions.

Can you deposit to a wallet that wasn’t backed up ? That’s the only thing I can think of as it was a new wallet I was depsoting to

Should not matter if the wallet was backed up or not. As long as you've sent to a valid address, that is all that the network cares about.

You should note, that from memory... the bitcoin.com wallet likes to promote Bitcoin Cash... did you accidentally deposit to a BCH address instead of a BTC address? Huh Check the address on a BCH explorer like blockchair.com and see if it is showing your deposit.

Also, where did you deposit from that it is showing as pending?

With "0 transactions", i assume you mean "0 confirmations"?

In which case you'll simply need to wait.

If you really mean there are 0 transactions incoming to your adress on your iphone wallet, either you or the third party wallet you are using hasn't (yet) broadcasted your transaction, but perhaps already deducted the amount from your account. In which case you should probably contact their support.

(As OP pmed me saying that he bought the BTC w/ euros, and not much other details. He did also mention that he has a hash, which makes me think it's just a case of low fees?)

So you bought bitcoin with euros via the bitcoin.com wallet, and have now sent it to another bitcoin wallet? Since you have a hash, paste it in to a block explorer like https://blockchair.com/ and see what it shows you. Make sure it says "Bitcoin" at the top left (and not Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin SV), and see how many confirmations it has.

If blockchair.com shows you the transaction on the Bitcoin network, but with zero confirmations, then tell us what it says under the "Fee per kVB" category. It would be unusual for it to be a fee problem at the moment, since the mempool has completely emptied several times since you posted.

If blockchair.com shows you the transaction on the Bitcoin Cash network, then you have been fooled by bitcoin.com in to buying a failed fork of bitcoin. We'll need more details on your receiving wallet to help you recover your coins.

Are you sure that you have Bitcoin? Bitcoin.com's wallet app is deceptive as it pushes an altcoin called Bitcoin Cash and tries to call that Bitcoin. The actual Bitcoin is more hidden and not shown as prominently. This wallet (and bitcoin.com in general) has caused significant confusion as users often either purchase the wrong cryptocurrency, or send Bitcoin to a Bitcoin Cash address or vice versa.

Bitcoin.com wallet?

Please be advised that the people behind Bitcoin.com are shady as hell and you should even never use their wallet. They claim that Bitcoin Cash is the real bitcoin and BTCitcoin is just another altcoin. They will confuse you in every way possible.

My advice to you is once your transaction is confirmed and you have received your BTC in your address. Import your private keys to a much better wallet like Electrum (they have mobile apps too) and delete the Bitcoin.com wallet.

Be very sure that you are downloading the right wallet as their many fake apps out there that could steal your funds.

Can you deposit to a wallet that wasn’t backed up ? That’s the only thing I can think of as it was a new wallet I was depsoting to
Yes you can without any problem.
The issues arise if you lose your phone or if you delete the wallet. You will lose all the funds in it as there can be no other way of restoring your address apart from using the backup phrase or private key or backup file.
