Reading this forum is unbearable and impossible

Signed up quite recently.

The few times I started a topic to ask a genuine question, I saw plenty of replies, most of them off topic, most of them very dumb (sorry), looks like a lot of morons posters there (sorry again), it's like parrots or bots posting without having a clue.

If I had a ban hammer here I would ban 80% of the posters for flooding, or for just being stupid bots.

Whenever you see an off-topic dumb post, just report it to the moderator. I would not said that but it seems like you have care about this forum so you came here to point it out.

As a newbie/Jr. you will have restriction to post/report but if you PM a mod then they can whitelist your username so that you do not get caught on newbie restriction while you report off - topic posts. You are welcome.

It depends. Not each of the board is flooding with spam. Altcoin discussion and Bitcoin discussion boards are having the most spam because of the signature spammer.
However, in most of the boards, you can create self moderated thread where you can delete the spam posts and get a good discussion.

A lot of posts are deleted on daily basis.
A lot of accounts are banned too.
But mods are simply human. And you have to help them, and you have to learn your ways around.

There are some tools you should start using:
- report to moderator the worthless / off topic / spam posts
- close your threads after they got answered
- ignore the users that don't bring anything valuable into discussions

Edit: I forgot about it:
- in your profile, edit the list of subforum/boards you want to ignore/stop seeing.

Wow a diva in our mids thinking that he can change the rules because he thinks he is a better poster, why not read how the forum works first and if you think if you are the best poster with the highest quality then why not give us example of your post and if it deserves merit then you rank in just a matter of days, not asking admins, managers bent the rules to accommodate you.

That's what I was talking about as well. Deleting the board will result spam in all over the forum as long as signature campaign is there. Since theymos isn't much interested in off signature, would be better to have a anti spam campaign manager.

They cause collateral damage. People taking part in this crap have to post in other sections in order to get their free shit!!

Come on mate. I am saying the same, only signature campaign required to post in the other section of the forum. No other campaign requires to post on other section than the bounty board.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head.  I'm not certain they're morons so much as being lazy and uninterested in what they're posting.  You have to understand that most posts on this forum are made for money earned through bounties, and this attracts a lot of members who don't know a lot of English but who try to post in that language anyway.  I joined the forum in 2015 and I'd noticed exactly what you pointed out even before then.

Avoid sections like Bitcoin/Altcoin Discussion if you're looking for good stuff to read, and Economics and Speculation are pretty close to being unreadable.  Sometimes members post good news articles in Economics, but the replies are usually very bad.

That's true, but it's not a solution Theymos is considering.  It's been proposed by a number of members since I've been around, but it's what brings a lot of traffic to bitcointalk and no doubt drives a not-insignificant amount of the bitcoin and/or altcoin economy.

As with other social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.), bounty hunters are just advertising their projects to each other. Nobody else is paying attention. If you're not a member, what are the chances you're going to wade through pages of crap in Altcoin Discussion (and sadly, Bitcoin Discussion to a large degree) in order to find one morsel of semi-useful information?
