I agree for bitcoin give profits for short term a lot of indication bitcoin will rise shortly in this year, but sorry my choice for long term hold is ethereum and ripple, Bcash is also habpve potential but isn't my major choice.

It's always sure to choose bitcoin over ltc, and holding it is worth as investment over long period of time since 2018. With ltc, I might use it as my potential passive income to be used as alternate investments aside from bitcoin, but only for small amount of asset.

I prefer to choose short trade in eth, ltc, eos, xrp and also stellar. Most of them give me profit in short trade for 3 weeks, but it can be changed depend on market situation. Please remember, always do deep analysis before you open position

I think in short-term we should hold Bitcoin because Bitcoin will "go to the moon" soon, at least in the end of 2019 and in August - the best time to buy and hold Bitcoin. In addition, as we know, LTC will be halvening on August 6, 2019 and as past halving times before, LTC increased sharply. I hope LTC will increase in the end of 2019 and I am holding LTC.

For me, BTC is still quite potential if you buy it now and my target in September has been take profit. But because there is a good opportunity in this August, then I will try to buy both, of course halving ltc is enough to affect the price later.

And on the other hand I still hold BTC until next month maybe, I'm sure BTC will also increase again. I am still waiting to see if BTC will breakout or bounce back within the next week. Because the BTC is now in a resistant area.

It's obvious that bitcoin is still the key so I would say that either short or long term, it is still the best crypto to invest for. LTC though has its block halving next year, that's why it will also be a safe bet to accumulate prior to the halving and see how it goes. BCH or BSV? Unless you know how to ride the waves and take short term profit then you might want to give it a try.

if you are a "short term trader" then big altcoins right now are not good options at all because they are not making any kind of move whatsoever and if they do, it will be in a downtrend not up.
what you should look into is smaller coins that the pumpers are pumping on a daily basis or stay away from the altcoin market altogether and stick to accumulating bitcoin while it is in accumulation phase with a stable price near $10k.

as examples: among medium size altcoins, ZEN and NRG with 50% pumps and among smaller coins: TRXC with 5000% pump, IPSX, XSD, XSD with 300% pumps in the past 24 hours.

I would choose BTC but would also go with other cryptocurrencies since not all of the time BTC can give you profit.

ETH, LTC can give you profits but I think if you like a trader or an investor in the short term. Usually, these cryptos change and if you are not wary of it, you will quickly give you losses. Bitcoin does changes quickly but it usually goes up and better in your hands in a longer period than in a shorter one.

Buy both, but prioritize BTC over the rest of your alts. Let's say, 80% of your portfolio must be BTC, while the rest can be diversified to several alts, and a very small part of your money should go to very speculative new coins/tokens that have some potential. For example, alts like LTO, Elrond, Harmony and something similar are hyped a lot in a lot of channels so you should get some of them and plan your exit strategy carefully.

BTC or LTC? It's an easy decision, the OP should go with BTC, as for what alt coins, just look at the top 5 coins and I'm sure you will see which one. There's no better altcoins right now than ETH though, I'm sure if will many was written it off, because of the so called BNB competition. You just need a lot of patience, I think not going for short will be the best idea, in my opinion.

My opinion is that all the coins from the top rating are worthy of attention and investment in them. The profitability of each of them is difficult to predict, but if you invest in different coins with the best capitalization, then you will diversify the risks. If the market goes up, you will profit in any case, and if not, then no matter what you invest in, you will either not make a profit or lose money.

Keep an eye on Litecoin definitely as the next couple of days the price difference will either increase or decrease although I predict a decrease in price since the community have a habbit of selling the news while buy-in on the rumors. The decrease in price will present a buying opportunity in preparation for the next bitcoin run. Since only selective few coins usually profit from bitcoin price increase and Litecoin is one of those beneficiaries, the decline will be a great buyin opportunity. Also the halving event have have it's effect on price increasing (long term).

Bitcoin and LTC, both are still profitable for midterm / longterm trades. Im personally not really a fan of bch and bsv, so my suggestion is BTC, Litecoin is still more volatile than bitcoin so.... it could be good when the price increase but its bad when the price goes down. Just put a decent amount of money in btc, not all. Do some cost average when the price goes down again.

No need to put all eggs on a single basket. Just fill up more your BTC basket compare with the LTC.

if you want to take advantage of the moment of altcoin, you have to wait for the right time for altcoin to go to the moon, and the right time is when BTC is sideways.
holding altcoin is difficult, but it's easy if we understand the pattern.
It will be safe if you want to avoid BTC correction when going up or down.
LTC, BCH and ETH are very good choices.

Just trade the top coins. Seems "something" is just trying to suck life out of Altcoins but the top ones are not being affected that much.
You may trade litecoin too but I can guarantee you that litecoin will disappoint you many times but it usually end up rewarding  patient holders

Litecoin is a good investment but the bear market has made this coin not get the best growth during the past time. Now Litecoin is making a very good comeback in the last 2 months and the investment in this coin will certainly bring a lot of profit in the near future if the value of Bitcoin can be stable at $12,000. I have personally held many LTC the bear market and will continue to hold until the LTC reaches $200 by the end of this year.

If you are short term trader and if you think you wanted to make the profit when ever the market rises and you do not have that much amount to invest into bitcoin, the coins i would opt for are ETH, BCH and BSV is not bad either because of the small valuation in the market and for the profits as these coins usually used to move higher when ever the price of bitcoin starts moving up, but if you are looking for the best investment no one can topple bitcoin.
