Slovenia Prva Liga football betting tips

Slovenian first football division is interesting for betting. It's quite predictable and there are only 10 teams so you can quickly get to know them and follow the news for all of them.

I will post my predictions here and keep track of statistics. Odds will be from Bet365 and I will also indicate how confident I am in my prediction by stating Stake out of 10 units. 10/10 means I'm very confident, 5/10 means I'm partly confident and I will place bet with half the money compared to 10/10 bet.


Tip 1
Triglav - Mura 17:30 local time
Both teams to score, Yes @1.50 Stake 8/10
Triglav likes Mura's style of play, winning both home games in last season. Triglav's last 5 games all ended in "Both teams to score" and all of them also in Over 2.5 goals. Mura finished high above Triglav last season so they will surely score at least one goal too.

Maribor - Tabor Sezana 20:15
Correct score 2-0 @5.50 Stake 1/10
Most likely result, but don't bet too much as it's risky obviously.
EDIT: I made mistake and wrote 2-1, but I meant 2-0 that's why the odds were 5.50 even before I edited. Odds for 2-1 are higher.

Small leagues like these are predictable it is true but it is also true that from these kind of leagues we see great surprises happening,Olimpia and Maribor which are strong teams in the last games of last year they did not manage to win not one but some matches.

I made mistake at Tip 2 and wrote Correct Score 2-1, but I meant 2-0 that's why the odds were 5.50 even before I edited. Odds for 2-1 are higher.

It was nothing It was you who predicted it firsthand and if it wasn't for you posting this and tipping some info about it I would not gonna see this at all, So thank you but if you would look at it the Tip 1 Tiglav Vs Mura match was an easy prediction for having a stake of 8/10 and like I said I had a little help with some other tips on other sites that is why I had a conclusion about the final score, However, Tip 2 is a hard one having a stake of 1/10 I can not Squish any information at all and having any conclusion about the fight so I didn't take any chances.

Mura showed beautiful attacking football in their last game scoring 3 away from home. Rudar is still waiting for their first win in new season (7 games, no wins **well they won yesterday but only after extra time) and they will need to wait for easier opponent than Mura. Also Rudar played cup game during the week while Mura is rested. I would choose Full time result-Mura if odds were better but 1.66 is too low (bet365). Slovenian bookie has 1.80 on Mura.

Draw no bet, Olimpija @1.36 Stake 10/10
Match of the top of the league. Olimpija needs to win this to secure No. 1 spot. Their last game was away against Rudar and they won 3:0. Aluminij played 1:1 at home against the same opponent. Olimpija should win but I'll take the safer option of Draw no bet and maximum stake.

Following you this weekend, Swordsoffreedom. I prefer William Hill over bet365 but there is no "Draw no bet" option for this league. If anyone else have this problem, let me show you a little trick how you can place "Draw no bet" using normal Match Result picks.

Let's say we want to bet $10 on Mura draw no bet. So in case of a tie we want our $10 back.
Odds on William Hill are: home 1.70, draw 3.80, away 4
First you bet on draw. You should stake $10/3.8 = $2.63
Then you place the remaining amount on home side (Mura) so $10 - $2.63 = $7.37
If Mura wins, you get $7.37 x 1.70 = 12.53
This means the odds for Draw no bet are 1.25 effectively. Which is considerably lower then 1.33 on bet365. Strange because often times William Hill has higher odds.

I am of the idea that whenever we play draw no bet it is better to place two separate bets and make our choice like you did betting more money on the option which have more chances to win in this case on Mura.

This can be done in many other leagues but so far it has not resulted a long running success,if you are careful on what you choose to bet on with this strategy you may go far away in your winnings.

I am really happy that I found a thread about the Slovenian League.
Also I will give you a tip.
I have noticed that the majority of those games end up in Over @2,5 goals scored. It is always a good strategy to bet for that in Slovenian games.
