Hey there, If you are beginner to crypto space probably you have already noticed that videos are great mediums to learn crypto related information.
Learning from videos are much easier and faster comparing many other source of information. Simply you look for the topic you are interested and someone
explains you all about it just with in few minutes.

However, as for many other type of content on the internet, video platforms are full useless junk content. Some are  for promotional purposes only doesn't even offer any help or information.
Some are simple click baits with a zero valued content in it, some are just poorly made to watch even. Finding actually informative good video content is a
big challenge on internet. Specially if you are beginner to crypto world, you would probably have zero knowledge on crypto terms which are usually the keywords for those videos.

We have noticed this challenge and looked for solution to help our community. Our solution was www.tokentuber.com , basically it is curated video platform where
only crypto related content are being featured. Here beginners can find a videos for all their questions.

We wanted to take it one higher level by implementing a built in token economy. By doing this,we are not only rewarding and encouraging people with our tokens to watch and learn more.
Users are able to earn tokens by watching, liking or uploading videos, and most important part is all of this totally free of charge.
We believe our token economy can create a marketplace where beginners can trade, invest their freely earned tokens to have practical information as well as theoretical information.

We are currently on alpha stage and by the end of August 2019 we will launch our beta which will all the features including the token economy feature.

Let us know what do you think about our solution for crypto beginners and if you would like to learn more about TokenTuber join our telegram group: https://t.me/tokentuber

Cheers!

You did not explain how your website actually filters out video contents, which you identified as the major problem, making it strictly for cryptocurrency does not mean all the videos would be helpful or educational.

Quite true, I also noticed that. My thoughts are, just like others streaming platform out there, this one (if it becomes successfully) will be highjacked by those crypto ads all over the web suggesting "how to select projects to invest in"  and probably promoting their endorse or ad altcoins are prefer choices.

@OP, I will love to see details information on how those videos will be selected, type of content we should expect etc preferable if you can abstain from uploading videos that have to do with giving us investment choices all in the name of educating us, it'll be perfect.

I strongly disagree with this statement.

Learning from videos is not faster, and you will learn only until a certain point.

To get to really know something you need to read. There is no other option. Reading is also faster than listening (everyone can read faster than talking, if you can't read that fast you need to practice your reading).

Reading also allows you to get more detailed information.

But anyway, videos are nice to watch and to learn superficial ideas on the topic you want, and videos can be a nice introduction.. but they do not substitute a book.

Just take as an example antonopoulos YouTube channel and his books. His books are much deeper.

So far youtube my best source for crypto related video.

It's depend on what type of explanation and the language that you're looking for.
It will be easier to understand if the video under your language, isn't it ?

I created a list of 10 TED Talks videos about bitcoin/blockchain

It's not done by me, but it lists a few blockchain/bitcoin related videos and they are fine.
After, you'll know what to search for, and how to move forward.
And also, read a lot, not only watch videos, sometimes you just waste your time on youtube, there's a load of sh.t there and you only realize when several minutes passed already...

Thank you for reply, this is a really good video channel with useful video content. Would be great if someone from our community to invite him to our platform to claim his video. Our platform allows anyone to upload a good video and then there will be incentives for those who successfully invite the creator, and the creator will also be rewarded based on number of upvotes.

1. we are re-building a new tag system on our platform, users can easily search based on tags.
2. we are trying to balance the quantity of video vs. quality. Initially when we start, we will spent the time to hunt for quality videos and upload them, at the sametime we encourage the community to upload good videos too with a report feature, so the community can report bad or irrelevant videos. Overtime, we will try to increase quality of videos by certifying the video producers, only quality video producers will be allowed to upload video. Imagine this is a door initially open for everyone to upload videos and gradually closes as quantity goes up.
3. only a portion of the videos will be educational videos, we can imagine a lot of other type of videos such as which altcoin to invest, event based news like Libra and its analysis, etc. Our goal is to help guide users along the way from a novice to a crypto investor.

See my reply on top regarding video content and quality. Since we will have categories, so our platform cannot possibly be hijacked by all alcoins videos, beginner category is a very important section for novice, and altcoin videos will be available when investors want to go deep into finding the next big coin.

In alpha version, we will select videos based on market research. In beta version, we will engage community to ask questions and our operations team will spend the time to find video answers if we feel that question will be a common one for others too.

Those videos are really good, we recently came across this site too during our marketing research, we hope to take it further with token economy and some fun activities such as making investment into videos that you feel are good to pin the video to the top for certain time frame. Video feature is only the beginning for us, far more interesting token economy designs to come.

Yeah. I find it fucking infuriating, especially if I'm looking for a specific piece of information. I do not want to have to search for several minutes through a video not knowing where it is. Written information is a multiple times faster. Maybe I'm too old to get it.

Anyway if someone wants to gorge on vids - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL05dEp7goGNiKWYdiE4nurEPFMmF9XpzF which is plucked from here - https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information.html
