I will choose bitcoin for now ... because I don't have the courage to invest in altcoin in the near future ... I see so many altcoins that are not growing in various markets ... and this is a very worrying condition if we want to choose altcoin for us investation....

Presently, I will invest more in Bitcoin because its current dominance shows some positive signs of uptrend, maybe breakout soon.  I still have some altcoins on my portfolio but they take 40% in total, while BTC takes 60%. I really wish alt season comes soon, so that altcoin holders can smile again.

I think in a perfect world we need both. They each hold their own different use cases. I think making a investment into Bitcoin is always great but there will be altcoins in the long run as well.

Now bitcoin is better than all the coins , as altcoins are in a bearish trend , and now bitcoin is preparing for a new bull jump , I think $ 20,000 is not far off.

I will prefer to invest more in bitcoin instead if altcoins, although altcoins could provide a bigger profit margin, but then it has bigger risk and bitcoin is more stable.

In this situation, it is best to invest in Bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market, because it is growing steadily in price. Altcoins are only falling in price, so there is no point investing in them. You need to invest only in rising coins.

bitcoin for the long term, and altcoin for the short and medium-term. if you have more funds you can invest your funds in your bitcoin wallet, then trade it with altcoin. by trading, you will get a daily profit and then accumulate into bitcoin and your bitcoin will increase then save and hold until the right time to sell it.

As of now, Bitcoin is still dominant. Most altcoin bleeds because of the way Bitcoin moves. Since altcoins are down, it would be wise to pick a top cryptocurrency and invest in it. To be honest, it depends on the trend. There are times when some altcoins are making a big move and there are times like this where you can get a nice profit from Bitcoin.

I personally invest in both as the profits are different. In long term holding, I'd still prefer Bitcoin over altcoins.

I guess it really depends on the altcoin that we're going for, Bitcoin is really hard to beat and it will remain as King, if not forever. Though there are quality coins that will be huge because of cases with them having real partnerships (not just verbal) and making efforts to get listed in top exchanges like Binance for more volume. I invested in one altcoin way back 2017 and I haven't seen so many efforts, marketing, or constant updates to the community at all. Those are the altcoins that you may need to stop following.

I don't know how long have you been in the crypto market, but I would tell you, there's no such thing as x10 profit anymore, if ever you find one, please let us know before P&D group takes over. The market has lost interest on projects or at least investors are getting into bitcoin as their safe haven because altcoins continues to bleed.

Less risk, less reward scenario. Have you seen a lot of community members bitching around because the money they invest on altcoin is still tanking this year. We have move past the half way mark of 2019 and so far we haven't heard any altcoin giving x10 returns.

70 percent will be in bitcoin and profits that came from it will be for altcoins.

I think you really need to diversify now. Some altcoin projects gives huge return when you pick the right one.
Some may have been a scam but that doesnt mean all will be like that.

One example will be Ethereum. It may be in slow phase by now but there is this possibility that it may rise again with the right market coming in.

I think we can combine our investments in bitcoin and altcoin. The biggest portion is still bitcoin because bitcoin is the main currency in the cryptocurrency market. With a portion of 60% for bitcoin and 40% for altcoin which is in the top 50, I think this is a pretty good choice

If must pick one maybe i will prefer on bitcoin. Although altcoin need more investors, not means investors must sacrifice their money to help others. If me of course what i aim is profit for myself and i wouldn't care to another especially if it has related to the risk to my money.
