Altcoins goes down in the mids of 2018 and until now they have not recovered yet because of the fall of bitcoins value . Most of the altcoins in the market follows to goes down also in value. Not a problem with altcoins alone but the entire cryptocurrency market is not experiencing any major rise or fall in prices now. It appears we are now in another Resistant phase where the large cap coins do not experience any major price change. A typical example is the price movement of Bitcoin. I think youre mistaken for that. Bitcoin isnt really the reason why altcoins are down. Its lack of demand and investors. Why? Most investors will play only with altcoins or such IEO then eventually will jump to btc or fiat payment. I guess investors are really care for the profits here. Only few appreciated the growing improvement of blockchain. Almost all, care for the price of tokens not in the progress of the project. Correct?

what you are telling is good for only short term trading but if you want to keep altcoin for long term then surely you will be in loss. altcoins are controlled by the developers and are depended on the projects development and its success. but bitcoin dont depend on any projects or anything it is just like currency which is used by other altcoins
