Reports are starting to appear that Boris Johnson is considering forcing the Robin Tilbrook case to an early conclusion to prove that we are no longer in the EU. Robin Tilbrook is an English lawyer who brought a case against the government, and he maintains that because the withdrawal was turned into a statutory instrument by Gina Miller, it needed an act of parliament with Royal assent to vary it. Theresa May did not obtain this. The establishment is trying to kick this action down the road, in the hope that it will become an irrelevance. Boris has received so many threats and political manipulations, that it is rumoured that he is considering pushing the court case to an early conclusion. He is the Prime Minister, and the First Defendant in the case, and, as such he has the power to withdraw the defence evidence. This means that Robin Tilbrook will win the case with no further action, and no right of appeal.

The consequences of such a victory will be far ranging. It will mean that the UK actually left the EU last March, and one wonders if we will be able to reclaim any payments made during that interim period.

We are not familiar with the UK politics but just wish that Boris succeed with the Brexit to uphold the will of the people. It's been kicked down the road for a long period of time. Whatever that has been preventing this from happening since last two years must be so powerful.

We are interested in is the completion of the Brexit and good trade deals with the USA.

It's not great to be removed by default from something since the treaties we have are minimal and it would be harder to negotiate tariffs with the EU if we do force a departure, however it's surprising he is the defense because a leave like thst would be interesting...

If it does win, they'd have to extend article 50 again anyway since we won't have any infrastructure at customs to deal with sending stuff across and checking it all...

We wouldn't be removed by default, we would leave under the terms of the Article 50 agreement.

Membership can't be extended, as we would not have been a member for several months, and re-joining would not be a viable option, especially as we would need to lose the pound. Customs tell us that everything has been in place for many months, and they can suport a WTO departure. We trade with loads of countries outside the EU, so the EU would just become one of those.

One of the reasons China grew so quickly a few years ago was that they formed an agreement with Walmart directly. Countries don't acrually create trading deals, all they can do is to levy taxes, impose sanctions, and pay subsidies. The real deals have to be negotiated by the individual companies.
