Well Previously real madrid team delivered quite awful performance due to dozens of thier player injuries, many of their crucial players have been struggling with injuries and has been out form the entire season due to which real madrid failed to win la Liga and also failed to continue the UCL competition. Now after such disaster Xabi alonso has been hired as a coach and he is declaring all the weakest point and try to work on it to make it well built for coming season. I know this can take a bit of time, although all the players are very talented but the harmony is weak. Xabi main aim is also on players harmony so If such strategy works after some times there will be no doubt for real madrid to became one of the great teams in the next 5 to 10 years once again.

Not sure if it will work better or not, maybe it will get better so there is a need that they need to make sure that we can definitely do a better job. And if you look at the la Liga they are one of the biggest club we can even imagine because which other club would you say they are getting the spot light and because of some certain players that actually turned them into a strong rivalry and that has mad the whole thing very competitive and it makes the league more interesting so to me it's a good thing.

And for a very long time things are going not going to be different any time soon because both of the club have a huge fan base and I don't think even athletico Madrid have that kind of attention that this both clubs have. Atletico Madrid actually deserve to be well noticed and talked about anytime we are to talk about the title race because they are the third best club in Laliga, but the team doesn’t give us the confidence to include them in the title race because no matter how they start the season, they will end up bottling it to either Real Madrid or Barcelona; but as you have said, this might be their season just as Leverkusen did last two seasons to win the Bundesliga ahead of Bayern Munich and Dortmund.

Nevertheless, I don’t actually see any changes in Atletico Madrid’s squad, but I think their teamwork is good enough to help them do something better this season. Let’s be hopeful because we want top competition in all the top Leagues.

I must agree with this because I remembered when Real Madrid signed Mbappe and his reaction towards the whole situation including other club, some club already know their worth like Real Madrid so they don’t get involved with less players and higher players will not want to belittle themselves so it’s obviously about improvement. The biggest reason for this is their policy of only playing with Basque players. If they were part of the global transfer market, they definitely would've won a few more titles in the modern era. But in today's globalized football world, trying to surpass Barcelona and Real Madrid with only Basque players is almost impossible. And when both of those teams stumble, Atletico Madrid steps up.

Just like you said it, "Basque players", Nico Williams may not be unconnected with such identity, hence his dedication to the club than going anywhere else including Barcelona where he can earn higher pay and also win trophies. Just imagine him signing a new contract that keeps him in Athletic Bilbao until June 2035. No player with the intentions of leaving the club will pen down such long contract.

It's just unfortunate he has such strong attachment with a mid table club as Athletic Bilbao which makes it very much unrealistic that he might finish with any trophy as you said. In today's football it's the big spenders clubs that dictates the rotation of trophy and if your club is not spending on buying and building the team with top talents then it's a no no...
