I get the point about prioritizing, but I’m not sure that approach really works for Real Madrid.
This is a club with a history and mentality built on competing for ,,every,, trophy, not just focusing on one. La Liga is definitely important, especially after Barcelona’s win last season, but the Champions League has always been part of Madrid’s identity as well.

I still wonder what makes some persons feel that Xabi Alonso will not perform well in Real Madrid, he went to Bundesliga won the Bundesliga tittle with bayen Leverkusen where Bayern Munich has been dominating so why can't him perform well with a team like Real Madrid where he has all it takes to do well. I can't tell if Real Madrid will win the laliga tittle or not both is either Real Madrid wins the league or they finish 2nd in their table.

Alonso only pressure after being officially appointed as Real Madrid head coach is the demand to win the La Liga trophy. Last season Real Madrid did not win any trophies after failing in domestic competitions and the UCL, the management immediately made a team overhaul so that they could compete again with Barcelona in the hunt for the La Liga trophy. Actually there is pressure on him to surpass the performance of Madrid in the last season and mi d you they did not have a very fantastic performance at the FIFA Club World Cup tournament and he has to make up for that, all of that put together places him in a position to make some really tough decisions under some pressure, although minimal pressure but there l definitely is some form of pressure for him to face at the moment because Madrid is used to making the most out of every season and last season was not one which they did well so they will be looking forward to thus season for a make up.

It is not in the hands of the management or the manager to keep the players from from injuries as you know injuries happen unexpectedly but if they escape having injuries it's just luck. Last season Real Madrid didn't win any trophy I think you are mistaken their performance in the previous seasons but this season under a new young manager Real Madrid will be aiming to win trophies like the champions League and La Liga which I think they will focus more on this season.
