In La Liga If we consider the results of this season, although there is no big difference in points between the two teams, we have noticed some changes in the performance of the game. Real Madrid is performing great this season. Especially in La Liga and the Champions League, their performance has been good so far. Real Madrid's squad is in a very strong position at this moment, even if someone in the team is injured, they have good alternatives against any team.

Getafe couldn't do much in this game. A draw was the thing they could have got the most. If it weren't for the red cards, maybe they were even going to get it too. But they played really rough with so many fouls. 

This was the only way to stop Real Madrid though so I understand them. I actually liked the effort by Xabi Alonso's students but they couldn't get past Getafe GK for a long time. 9 saves in total, Soria really did his best for his team...

They got a lucky break and scored once but that's all they did in the game, nothing more.

Right, at this moment in the points table, injuries have become a big factor for football teams. Although injuries are normal in football, when the players of big teams, especially the best players of teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid, cannot give their best performance due to injuries, it becomes a headache for their teams, especially the coaches.

Not only that, in such a situation, there is more pressure on the other players on the field of play and everyone, starting from the team management, has to think about this issue separately. 25 fouls were a bit annoying, as they seemed to ignore the yellow cards and warnings the referee gave them. Real Madrid dominated possession, but I was also annoyed by the ball flowing around the middle of the pitch. They could have scored more if they had focused on attacking, especially after Getafe received two red cards. I'm sure Xabi wasn't satisfied with this performance, as even a minimum of one goal isn't enough to face Barcelona in El Clasico.

One would wonder how they got a whooping two red cards in a single game but here it becomes obvious and clear going by the statistics, 25 fowls shows that Gatafe added some bit of desperation from their end to ensuring they are not loosing out shamefully at home, and maybe that is why even with the red card, they still did not allow Madrid secure more goals asides the one Mbappe gave Madrid. Xabi cannot express any form as satisfaction for such a result considering the level of effort that went into that game. Maybe they will tighten their belt better going against Barcelona.

I'm ignoring Getafe's performance for now, I don't know what plan they had to play such attacking football. Sadly, they weren't attacking for goals, they were attacking on players. But I wonder how far Real Madrid can go with this team? Even against smaller teams, we only see Mbappe scoring, do other players only help Mbappe score? I don't know if this is Xabi Alonso's plan, but in any case, it should definitely be a cause for concern for Real Madrid. A team that relies on just 1 player can't survive for long or be a favorite to win a tournament. Xabi Alonso should start working on creating substitutes now.

Surely, the players are meant to experience fatigue because the gap in the matches are just so short, imagine after playing the weekend games last week, now they are about to play the European games and by weekend again the domestic league games will also continue so it will make some big teams to flop because it's not easy to maintain good performance in all the matches just within a short interval of time apart. You can say that Real Madrid is a better team for now since they won their match against Getafe yesterday and returned back to the top of the table but until the result of the El Clasico coming up on 26th, that is when we will know the real better team between Real Madrid and Barcelona.

I hate Vini way of play and also how he behave every time in the pitch and outside the pitch about a lot of things, but one team who cant cry about anything because of their super dirty way of playing football is Getafe under Bordalas coaching, so i dont want to hear them crying about the red card or any thing from the match against Real Madrid.

This is the only way I think Vinicius have to use against every club just to stay in control, after the racial abuse he started playing differently and he talks too much on and off the pitch, the more he does that the more he loses that touch of brilliance on the ball, it would have been fun watching him but these days things about him is not how it used to be.
Actually you're not the only one that don't like how he behaves and I saw a picture of one of the Getafe playing showing his anger and the write up was "this is why no one likes you" (on Vinicius) something like that... yesterday he really offended a lot of people with his attitude, for me that's no way to play football, with time all these things will hit back at him, he should be doing things to get that love back instead he's making it worse.

I want to say that even though Real Madrid won this match Xabi Alanso still has a lot to improve to make the team more effective in building attacks against opponents with a solid defense. Madrid's victory was due to luck after a Getafe player received a red card allowing Real Madrid to score. If Getafe hadn't received the red card the match might have ended in a draw. Vini did a great job in this match. Regardless of the controversy his efforts to provoke the opposition proved effective resulting in two red cards for Getafe.

Overall it was an incredibly tight match full of pressure from both teams. Getafe also displayed courage in this match, playing with high discipline and defending neatly. Once again Real Madrid demonstrated their champion mentality, remaining calm under pressure, remaining consistent, and capitalizing on every opportunity to score and secure the victory. In essence Xabi Alanso must find a solution in building attacks to be more effective and next week is the day that is awaited where there will be an El Clasico match, the result in this match is very important to win the first place in the standings.

I can't say I enjoyed the match between Real Madrid and Getafe. Real Madrid couldn't even score a second goal despite being down to nine men. Getafe defended pretty well overall in the entire match but that red card broke them,they conceded a goal right after it and the second red card was the end. Real Madrid could have scored a lot more goals but they just missed big chances. Alonso made a mistake off leaving Vini on the bench and once he got in he turned the game around

It will continue to be close points between Barcelona and Real Madrid. Real Madrid are beginning to trace back their best form. It will be difficult for them because Barcelona are also putting in the effort, few problem only because of the injuries, whatever Real Madrid are doing they should watch their back, Barcelona are not far from them, one loss and one win from Barcelona, the position has shifted.

Just week 9, when it gets past half of total weeks in a season, we will begin to see teams fall out of form, other competitions will be getting serious, especially those playing in the Champions League, even Barcelona and Real Madrid we will see some fatigue performance like you mentioned.

I feel so sad and sorry, looking at that bet slip as though it was my very own bet. You almost had it, and it was going to be some epic win. Real Madrid being away, I also expected a low scoring game, though I could not imagine that they managed to score only one goal in the entire match. I confess that I can't see the total odds clearly. Was it @4.223 or was the total odds @4.223? Historically, games involving Real Madrid against Getafe haven't had many goals, and in the last game they played, there was only one goal. That's why I didn't expect to see more than one goal in that game, mainly because of the lineup that the Real Madrid coach chose. If he had put Vinicius Jr. and Arda Guler in, I believe we would have seen two goals in that game. But the coach preferred to choose other players; perhaps he's looking at the European Champions League. Fortunately, Real Madrid won the game.

That's the total of all the odds in the multi I've played because I think that's the safest way for me to bet and I'm often under 3 or 3.5 goals but for Madrid I'm expecting over 1.5 in the game against Getafe.
Actually it could have happened especially when Getafe played with 10 players to 9 players and there was even a very good chance from Mbappe when 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper only that his plesing did not match expectations even though it was almost 99 percent of goals.
In the end this is a defeat that I can no longer avoid.

Haha this is quite annoying even though if we look at the match that was presented after Mbappe created the first goal he could have immediately scored the second goal 1 minute later but a little unfortunate 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper could not be maximized properly because if it could be a goal then this is certainly a victory for you.

But this is a game where the situation is always unpredictable although it can't be denied that this will definitely be very annoying but the match is over and we can't change it.
Even though if you look at the odds you are more likely to go under in a multi why don't you all go under. I think it can be a good thing if you choose all with the under.

I would have liked to have been on the Under but my faith in Madrid is still big enough that I was on the over in this match. But in the end it was my choice that made me lose in the end.
Almost winning with odds of 4 isn't bad but it's worth it.

Yes, the advantage in terms of points and position in the standings is relative, there are certainly other things to take into account in this classic, and I honestly believe that Barcelona is still ahead and can do much more than Real Madrid when they return, but I don't understand why everyone continues to give them as favourites.

To me, Madrid are the favorites in that game. Barcelona haven't gotten their rythem yet, they have a lot of injuries of important players and since they have a very small squad, it is difficult to replace them. When you look at their last 4 or 5 games, Barcelona have not played like they could have. If they play like that against Madrid they will lose. Barcelona's problem recently have been their pressing structure and how they beat the opponent's press, Madrid, on the other hand are very good at pressing this season even though they struggle with keeping the ball.

The only thing I can say about this fixture is that, current form alone doesn't decide who wins. A whole of other things matter. One team can win their 6 straight matches before going into this game and they go into the field and be totally outclassed, but if I to decide based on current form, Madrid has the edge.

I think so too, because Atletico Madrid appears to be having a worse year than last. One of Barcelona or Real Madrid will win this trophy. We'll be watching these two teams face off in La Liga this week anyway. Real Madrid will have a tough match against Juventus before that match. They'll need to field their best players to win the Champions League, and they might be a bit tired going into the Barcelona match. This might affect their match this weekend, but Barcelona will also be playing a Champions League match. If a team wins this weekend, they'll gain a valuable point on their way to the title.

Considering Athletico Madrid needed this win, they got very lucky and they are now very close to third place again. I know that being the third place is all they could hope for, but there are plenty of teams around the world who would want to have a consistent third place, with occasional league titles.

They do not have the fan base or the money to be the winners, but they can be sustaining this place for long enough that it helps them. They did not started well into the season, they had some trouble with first few games, but now they are back to winning ways and doing an alright job. Hopefully they can keep this pace up, so that they can actually finish where they want. They won2t be top two, but third place is good enough.

There will always be competition between Barcelona and Real Madrid so long as the LaLiga is concerned, it’ll always be a two horse race unless they decide to sleep that’s only when Atletico Madrid takes a small charge.

But this season I dunno if it’s only me that’s seeing what’s happening in Madrid’s games, it might be luck or coincidence but somehow it feels strange and mind blowing. The game yesterday would have ended in a draw but those Red cards changed the outcome of that game, it’s like Madrid are just getting help from Referees.
It’s just been 9games and they’ve been awarded 6 penalties and 4 red cards to their opponents and most of this happens in games they struggle in.

Considering Athletico Madrid needed this win, they got very lucky and they are now very close to third place again. I know that being the third place is all they could hope for, but there are plenty of teams around the world who would want to have a consistent third place, with occasional league titles.

Celebrating third position isn't something any club should be proud of because that can only get you into the champions league and not win you the league which is what every club that can make it into the too four should be aiming for, Atlético Madrid owners would prefer they're fighting for the league title with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona instead of top 4 finish that they should be part of always. Recently, Atlético Madrid has being playing poorly and that's not how they used to be therefore I don't support what you're saying. Atlético Madrid should fight their way back to the top instead of settling for less.

I think both Barcelona and Real Madrid are equally strong this season, as both have shown equally good performances. But Barcelona has been unlucky because Yamal has just recovered from injury, and now they are missing several key players like Joan Garcia, Marc-André ter Stegen, Gavi, Dani Olmo, and Robert Lewandowski due to injury. this is a headache for Flick because it impacts Barcelona's performance and prevents them from performing at their best.
And this is an advantage for Real Madrid, because with Barcelona struggling with so many injuries, they can take advantage of the situation and perform better, and maybe they can widen the gap with Barcelona.
