And we have been hearing about Mbappé coming to Real Madrid for a long time. But that has not happened yet. And I believe that might actually not happen soon.  Real Madrid will have to spend a good amount of money if they want to get him now.  The question is, will Real Madrid actually spend that much money? Are they willing to bring him in now or will they look for other options?

This topic that Mbappe goes to Real Madrid has been put to rest for the moment. It will come up again when we go towards the end of this season, or probably a bit earlier in January next year or so as Mbappe's contract will expire or at least his release clause will become active no matter what. Yes Real Madrid is doing well and given that Vinicius Junior is injured now but will come back at some point means that they will be even stronger then. I wonder what position they would let Bellingham play if they had Mbappe and Vinicius Junior available. Haaland had 150 millions release clause which is making sense to buy him than mbappe which has priced around 250 millions. Barcelona wants Haaland as Lewandowski's replacement because they think Lewandowski's performance is declining due to his age.

Of course the transfer window is closed. I am pretty sure that they were waiting for Mbappé to become a free agent.  They probably did not see any reason to go for him and spend more than 150 million when he's going to become a free agent the next season, however that did not end up happening. So now if they want to get him they will have to pay a lot of money anyway.

No, they have to play with what players that they have available. But I don’t think they are going to do bad with the squad that they already have. After all they are currently in a great form.
