It may focus more on the Champions League which is exactly very hard to do. However, I don't think that they will really drop their performance in La Liga although they will not be able to reach first place. At least, the runner-up is better. But they can fall the point so easily so that Atletico Madrid can take over their place as runner-up. This is a disappointing result. It is not only about the only match vs Real Sociedad but also the previous matches that seem like not going really well.

what else can you do while in fact Real Madrid prefers to focus on the champions league to win the title in the champions league. but I have a thought even though Real Madrid is currently being replaced by Atletico Madrid at least Real Madrid will not follow Atletico Madrid's points without being far behind and giving Real Sociedad a distance until the final champions league match is over.
and for example the champions league is finished and can win the title, surely Real Madrid will chase Atletico Madrid points again if there is still time and opportunity.

@len01 even if Real finish in third spot they’ll yet be okay till they win the champions league but if they don’t win the champions league and finish third then Carlo will be immediately sacked. Also I too didn’t see Atletico rising up to the second spot but I strongly feel that Real Madrid will find a way to reclaim that second spot by the time this season ends.

I think it'll be absolutely unfair to Real Madrid's efforts and this season to tag their season so far as a poor one. Real Madrid for a truth hasn't been playing the best of football or getting the best results they're supposed get the Spanish La Liga but they've actually done exceptionally well in the UEFA Champions League competition. The only time we should see Madrid's season as a bad one is iif they fail to win both the UEFA Champions League title and he Copa Del Rey cup.
Barcelona undoubtedly has been the best club in the the league so far and most thanks to their manager Xavi Hernandez who have groomed them to become a big force in the league. 

The problem for Madrid started with their being too passive in spending money on transfers considering they are very capable with the current squad but they are not paying attention that this is destroying the balance with many players who are always hit by injuries even a few times.
This obviously has to be a lesson so they have to prepare everything from scratch.

So true, Real Madrid were so convinced with the players they have and not ready to sign in players. The occurrence of injury in some of their players is one of the problems Real Madrid is not able to be much consistent in performance in laliga.  If they had signed some players Real Madrid would have been in good form to win most of their games to gain high points. If Real Madrid miss winning the champions league I think this can also be the reason lose, because the injury problem may reduce the stability of the players in the Champions League game.

This shows that Real Madrid is going through something that is making their game performance decrease.Luckily, Real Sociedad knew that, so they took advantage of this situation to score a goal to win, and finally take one point off the top of the standings.

Lately I haven't seen Real madrid like the team I usually see, it seems they have lost something of a touch that made it difficult for them to end the game in a win. If things like this are allowed to continue, I honestly don't believe they will be able to compete with Manchester City in the semi-finals of the Champions League. However, they must immediately improve their performance again.

Last 2 games of Valencia are not like the others where they played poorly or only had around 25 minutes of good football because slowly , with the fear of being relegated , this team stated to play really good football and they almost made a comeback against Villareal. Odds for betting should also be mega appealing

Although I can't say that Valencia played well against Villarreal. But I also appreciate Valencia's defensive strategy in that match. Managed to hold Villarreal to a draw is a pretty good achievement. And that's pretty good progress. Because with this draw at least Valencia avoided the relegation zone.

Talking about qualification for European competitions next year, Athletic Club just lost against Real Betis in a very unfortunate match yesterday. (They had also lost against Sevilla a couple weeks ago, both games at home, and both against Sevillan teams).

Sevilla managed to score the 2nd goal through a penalty.  This penalty was a great opportunity for them to score an easy goal. Espanyol scored two goals in the first half and were leading the match at half time.  And Sevilla would  comeback in the second half and get a penalty.  And in the last stage, he scored 88' to lead the match by 2-3 goals. Watching Madrid's defeat to Real Sociedad is certainly disappointing. Hoping they could win with a high score and betting on them, but the end result says otherwise. Im aware of how hard athletico club to make attack against betis. betis used full defensive strategy and it used only counter attack to give pressure to the athletic club. It was working successfully caused by willian jose was able helping betis to take full points from athletic club at this moment.

Yes, this season Real Madrid is very weak in defense so it's so easy for opponents to exploit that area.
