He was given the trust again after a long absence but his form in this competition did not go well for Hazard. I agree that the circumstances weren't that easy for Xavi and Barcelona as a whole, but whether I would go so far as to say it was a successful season, I am not sure about that. I would probably say it was a good season, nothing special and not bad. Successful evokes this inner motivation to compare it to the successful times Barcelona once had. How they were eliminated both from the Champions League and from the Copa del Rey was quite unsatisfactory. If it had been a close second leg against Real Madrid in the Copa, ok, but getting demolished at home like that shouldn't happen. And the group stage in the Champions League was doable as well.

Above all else this is a derby match obviously. In addition to that Espanyol are fighting to not relegate. This match is going to be very important for them as a result.

Barcelona are so close to making their title official. Winning this match will be enough for them to do this no matter what the other results are. But they don't have a great luck in the derby matches against Espanyol here. I'm worried about the possibility of this to happen again. Overall, what Xavi has done this season has been quite impressive in building the Barcelona squad to become the strongest team in La Liga. they have one more step to seal the title when the game against espanyol in tomorrow game. So, in this case, the mix of strategies and having good quality players is a strong support for Xavi to achieve all of this.

I thought Real Madrid would win easily against Getafe. But this victory was not easy for them. A narrow 1-0 win for Real Madrid. I expected better performance from them. But perhaps Ancelotti is now more concerned about the Champions League match against Manchester City. Since the first leg was a draw. They must win the second leg at any cost.
