If Raphinha played in a more disciplined way maybe they could have won this match. He just got a yellow card in the 38th minute and only four minutes later he got a red card.    The conditions got equal a little time after the second half started though because Mata also got a red card. But still Barcelona couldn't break the deadlock.

The red card was exactly the right choice made by the referee because this is one of the most stupid fouls I have seen. Firstly, it is generally stupid to attack any other player on the pitch intentionally with your elbow trying to hit their face. Barcelona should suspend him for 3 months without pay. Secondly, if the player is stupid enough to attack his opponent with his elbow anyway, how stupid can Raphinha be to ignore the fact that we now have the VAR? Even if the referee misses the attack at first, it will easily be discovered by the VAR and the referee will be informed and show the red card accordingly. Joao Cancelo is a great experienced player, because Joao Cancelo is very used to playing at big clubs in different leagues as well. Thus, of course, if Barcelona succeed in bringing in Joao Cancelo even if only as a loan player, at least Barcelona defense will also get better.

But somehow I'm still wondering, because Manchester City also signed Joao Cancelo for a long duration. But in reality, Joao Cancelo is just a player who only seems to be out on loan to other teams. The first week at the top of the La Liga table did not belong to Real Madrid or Barcelona, but it belonged to Atletico who beat Granada 3-1 at home. Since the early minutes of the match, it was very hot and we often saw the two teams commit fouls against each other which ended up getting a yellow card. However, at the end of the first half, Atletico were only able to score a goal through Alvaro Morata.

In the second half, Granada equalized the advantage through a goal scored by Omorodion, but this did not last long and that made Atletico continue to attack, resulting in two additional goals scored by Memphis Depay and Llorente. It seems that Diego Simione is very pleased with the performance of his players and this result has established them on a positive path in the next matches.

The league is just at the early stages of the session and there are so much drama still yet to unfold, in the next 6 weeks the league table would have taken a mew shape and we will see which team has stayed consistent for the 7 weeks of the season. Now every team is geared up but for how long can they maintain ghjs momentum is the key factor to consider lol and I am not in a rush to start pointing fingers and making predictions but I give credit to Atletico Madrid for a good performance and being able to get the result in the game and hope they can maintain the standard in the next fixture.

The competition between Lunin and Kepa for the first place is certainly very important and we can't wait to see who will fill in as the main goalkeeper in the next game against Almeria. Joào Cancelo without doubts is a great lad, we might not know what's cooking under ground between the player and Manchester City but this is not the time to talk bout it. Sevilla made this an exciting game, but I must say I thought that Manchester City will win this quite certainly. I didn't think that Manchester City would win with a 3 goal advantage, but that they would take the lead and then play it smart until the end and win the title.

This FFP rule is really limiting Barcelona to their purchase of new players, they shouldn’t have violated the rules before now and should have monitored their spending. This is the very right time for them to get Joao Cancelo to play for them as he will cover many lapses and make Barcelona stronger in the league. I have not really had a deep down feeling that Joao Cancelo will be a good player for Barcelona, but with others comment about him, he might prove me wrong and have a rethink of my assumptions for him.

Man city have won another trophy this season in a penalty shoot out due to the draw game. I would have said that this season doesn't have something good for Man city assuming the couldn't win the penalty. It was unbelievable to see that Man City couldn't win Sevilla without a penalty,this shows how good and prepared Sevilla are this season. Man city after 2013 is the first time that they are winning the super cup and Sevilla have been beaten several times in a penalty shoot out which makes it difficult for them to win the super cup. Though,there is no much celebration on the field since Man City is looking forward to play Newcastle during the weekend. City scored all five penalties but Sevilla scored four and lost the last one and the match ended 5-4.
