I can think of a rotation solution for some time, but if one really outplays the other, I guess sticking to one goalkeeper is the better choice. I have never really liked rotating goalkeepers especially when they have different styles. When one goalkeeper is very good on the field as well and likes to accelerate the game with high precision passing and the other goalkeeper is rather known for slowing it down, it always means a change in defensive strategy for the whole team every single game there is a rotation. But we will see how this develops in the coming weeks.

I think the quality of both is good enough that they just need to show their professional attitude towards the coach's decisions. I think the clubs from the Saudi Professional League wouldn't have to pay these stratospheric salaries forever. i think this is one of those typical difficulties when highly talented players go on a loan to a strong club like Real Madrid. When they play an amazing season and Kepa performs in a considerably strong way for the season, what are the chances that Chelsea would not want him back especially when Real Madrid even wins titles with him? If they let him go, then it will be very expensive, but at the same time they will have Courtois as well.

But it could be an interesting transfer for Real Madrid because Kepa is three years younger than Courtois. He is not quite a new generation, but three years is still worth considering when Real Madrid thinks about the future on the goalkeeper position. Courtois' injury isn't a light one, it is a severe condition and it takes time to see whether his knee will fully recover.

Only few were injured but madrid can find the solution as soon as possible. I thought that the club gonna use lunin as the main goal keeper but it seems like that ancellotti is not fully trusting him right now.
I can understand that if curtois needs a few months to recover from his injury. This is the main problem with the club. Ancelotti needs also to focus in preparing a replacement for bellingham. He was performing so well but we can't sure if he will always able to play until the end of season. Kepa has been performing very well with chelsea. He deserves a chance to be signed by real madrid. Maybe Lunin lacks experience but at least Ancelotti has to give him a chance and I think the decision will be to rotate the two goalkeepers. Kepa is an experienced goalkeeper and maybe he will start for the La Liga and Champions League competitions, while Lunin can start for the Copa Del Rey competition. I think that's fair enough because after all Ancelotti doesn't want to hurt his players and when Courtois recovers from injury both keepers will return to the bench.




Anyway, Ancelotti has confirmed that Kepa will start tomorrow's match against Celta Vigo and at least this proves that the two goalkeepers are equally good in all competitions and Ancelotti will still rotate these two keepers in the future.

According to Transfermarkt Courtois is going to be out until March 10, 2024.

There won't be much time left for the end of the season later on. Even if he recovers by that date this time he will need some time to reach match fitness. Hence we can see it like he has closed this season unfortunately. There is a great opportunity for Kepa here. If he works hard and impress Ancelotti he can extend his time at Real Madrid most probably. But when Courtois is fully back Kepa would probably be his substitute.
