What a surprise,in the beginning of the match,Villarreal was having opportunities of scoring Barca but they didn't make use of their chances. After ten minutes of the game Barca got use to the game and had their first chance. Gavi scored without hesitating with a beautiful strike which gave them the first goal on the 12th minutes to break the deadlock.

Two minutes later De Jong got a narrow opportunity which he took advantage of and had a good finish to the left side of the post. Two goals in three minutes. I don't think that Villarreal will be able to equalise these two goals as Barca is making very hood use of their opportunities.

We are enjoying a great competitive match.  barcelona managed to score two goals in quick succession. They got a 2-0 lead in just 15 minutes. But in the 26th and 40th minute villarreal's players scored two goals to tie the match 2-2. It looks like the first half will end in a 2-2 tie.

Sevilla V Girona

After losing the first two matches, Sevilla's performance in today's match is also poor. Today Sevilla play at home against Girona. We were hoping to see a better performance from Sevilla. Sevilla can’t be labeled totally poor today even if they didn’t won the match against Girona. They really played well but were not able to convert most of the chances they got during play into goals. Gudelj halftime equalizer could not give them a point as Garcia added one more goal in the 56th minute to take another lead for the club. Their overall performance today was not bad with 22 shots but only 4 on target. I haven’t lost hope in them, and I feel they’ll do better as time goes, the season is just starting but hopefully they’ll improve and take their stance to dominate the coming games more to victory.

Yeah Sevilla wasn't doing that great last season neither up until the very end, they were having a bad season but somehow something happened on like last 2 months of the season and they won both europa and won many games at the league to rank higher as well. I think it's quite important to get something like it because that results with them not having any type of trouble with the situation they are in, and I think it should be noted that we are not going to end up with anything bigger from them.

I think they will not relegate, they will win enough games to stay in the league, but they are doing quite terrible, if they finish something like 13th or something I wouldn't be shocked because that's what they would probably have if not for that last 2 months the prior season.

Player injury problems affected Barcelona's performance in today's match. Initially I was sure that Barcelona would dominate this game without any problems in defense especially after taking a 2 goal lead in 15 first half minutes, but Villarreal reacted quickly and scored 2 equalizing goals to end the first half 2-2.

Of course it was a win that was expected, but Barcelona did not perform well defensively. The absence of Araujo and Balde made Barcelona's defense fragile and easy for Villarreal to exploit, but Barcelona had an advantage on the other side. Yamal's performance was outstanding, he was good throughout the game before being replaced by Ferran Torres and I'm sure he can improve a lot if he trains hard. One great thing about him is, Yamal is only 16 years old.

It's not important how many goals you conceded as long as you score one more than that. For Barca this wasn't a situation we were used to, but when we think of Villarreal matches in general, we see that the matches were full of goals. In the past, the matches of these two teams had always finished as high scores.
Villarreal deserved to get some points from this game. It was a game with a lot of back and forth, but in the end it was Barca who won 3 points.
Barcelona should win the league again if they keep playing like that.
