I don't think there is any luck in a big match like this because despite Barcelona's dominance, we can see how hard the Atletico players worked to keep the ball out of the net in this match.

Some of Gavi and Raphinha's shots could have even become goals if Oblak hadn't played brilliantly in the end. This proves that in the end there was no luck involved but Atletico's victory over Barcelona was due to hard work and they managed to convert their chances better than Barcelona in this match.

The tempo is likely to continue only on one condition , if Athletico does not decline ( and I doub it ) but I believe can improve and still maintain their current position. Realmadrid on the other hand were able to get this far even in their current injury state though recently  it has reduced as some of them are back into the team, this means next year should mark  an increase in  performance for the club (hopefully) so only if Athletico continue their winning streak then they will be able to last longer on the table and maybe hopefully win it.
Barcelona on the other hand, will have to maintain their third position and hope for a decline in performance from both parties before they will have opportunity to take over( what a pity   ).they tried anyways Besides, hansi Flick promised to recover the lost position back still waiting for how he's gonna do it.

Honestly, I do not see "worse" with Flick compared to Xavi's last season. As everyone can see from the stats, when Barcelona won the league of course Xavi was doing good, but the reason he was fired because he didn't do so well last season and he wasn't really good with management neither, that is why they fired him, he even wanted to resign before he got fired, so the team basically decided if Xavi doesn't want them, they do not want him.

In as much as Barcelona are experiencing financial difficulties that is gradually affecting their performance, I’m of the opinion that Hansi Flick is a upgrade to Xavi Hernandez last season performance. Hansi Flick has brought more dynamism to Barcelona’s playing style and has also instilled confidence into the players making them better than what we saw under Xavi’s management last season.
