Truly, he was really amazing and kept his team in tie for a long time, even after the Mbappe equaliser, he still made some real and good decent saves. His performance is truly that of the man of the match performance from all indications and I think no one in the game deserves it more than him. That late goal from Jacobo that gave Real Madrid the 2 - 1 victory has only delayed Barcelona  celebration by 24 hours. I said this because, there's a 90% chance that Barcelona will win Espanyol tomorrow to officially win the league.

Real Madrid managed to rise and make a comeback in today's match, even though playing in front of their supporters, Real Madrid had to work hard to secure 3 points in this match. Mbappe again showed his skill in front of goal because the equalizer opened their spirits in this match. Real Madrid's game was so good because there were so many good passes and attacks that they did in today's match.

I want to see tomorrow's match when Barcelona faces Espanyol because this match will be quite anticipated by Barcelona fans because they will lock the championship title in this match. I estimate it will not be difficult for Barcelona to beat Espanyol because currently Espanyol is in bad condition after losing in a row. 28 La Liga league goals for a player who they heavily criticised and called his move to Real Madrid a complete failure when things weren't going and swinging his way forgetting he is a goal getter and machine. Well, I'm not perplexed with the numbers he's made this season,  I'm just vexed with the numerous posters on here and off here who have said otherwise. Two more games for them though ( Sevilla and Real Sociedad  )

@Oluwa-btc, I am not surprised to see the number of goals that Mbappe has achieved so far in his first season with Real Madrid, them critics easily forget the number of goals Mbappe bagged for PSG when he was them player so they decided to frustrate his efforts by calling him all sort of names just because he wasn't scoring goals the moment he became a player of Real Madrid but surprisingly now he's broken the record of C Ronaldo for the most goals scored for Real Madrid in the first season I believe the remaining 2 games he's definitely going to score more goals so that those who criticized him wouldn't have nothing to say to him again.

Admittedly, Mbappe is a good goal scorer and has increased his tally to 28, but his performance today was less than satisfactory. Believe me, the game should have produced more than the three goals we saw if not that Madrid were seeing their chances taken off by the Mallorca keeper, Leo Roman. Personally, he should have been awarded the man of the match.
 Madrid could not fully utilize their chances and would have lost if not for the intervention of Mbappe and Jacobo Ramon who gave them the lead in the dying minutes since Mallorca's defense was very weak. TBH, I wonder how the visitors were able to take the lead when they found it hard to control or hold possession of the ball for two minutes.
 As it stands, Barcelona are the winners but I think their next game will determine if they get crowned the champions or they will have to wait till the last day.

I doubt it if they would even wanna lose any point tomorrow against Espanyol. I'm positive they will want to wrap it up same tomorrow. At the same time this Barcelona side will want to score as many goals as possible and I think they will likely want to feed Lewandowski more so he can get enough chances to score more goal. The battle of the Pichi chi is at stake here and at the moment Mbappe has surpassed Lewandowski in the race for the boot, so I'm thinking that Barca players will rally round him to making sure he scores enough goals.

Yes, you are right. Mallorca defendes so gretaly this match. Real Madrid tried 39 shots, and they could hold it. In total there were 5 big chances missed by Real Madrid to shoot the goals, very close to the target. And Mallorca did incredible keeper saves, as many as 10x.

Oh yeah here, in the end, Mallorca had to lose their hopes to draw with Real Madrid when Jacobo Ramon (CB) with an assist from Vallejo who had just entered in the 64th minute, fired a shot into an impressive goal.

Even this time, Real Madrid was saved by their two defenders who also stepped forward as the whistle blew.

At the same time this Barcelona side will want to score as many goals as possible and I think they will likely want to feed Lewandowski more so he can get enough chances to score more goal. Lewandowski performance dropped and I doubt it is the team priority to make him the best scorer unless they secure two goals advantage in the game so they can help him.

Far better than his debut in Paris saint German but he is yet to broke he previous all time season. He had made all time high goal scorer of a season from PSG with 33 goals even though League1 is been considered to be a farmers league, they are not bad after all. Mbape is that player he is that if the team were really that great in all of their positions, the Laliga trophy would have been theirs but it's what it's, the team isn't too competent to be reliable like before.

If only all this he has achieved, he was able to win this league, it would have been a unique story for him but I have heard him claim to have won every trophy except for Champions League, he is trying to use Messi mentality when they brings his argument of not completing football because he never played in Premier League but they always find an excuse to cover it up. He need to win Laliga if he want to stay relevant in Spain and the fans base.

The reason people might have criticised or said one thing  or the other against Mbappe is cause of Madrid’s failures  not his, and in the beginning it was as if he was isolated in the team. Mbappe is a beast, a goal machine and a goal getter, I love the player even as a Barcelona fan, I’ve loved him since his days at PSG and after the World Cup he won. He’s an incredible talent I can’t start hating him now. He’s already achieved a lot even with the form of Madrid and thanks to injury to Lewandowski he’s taken the lead in the Pichichi race. But most of his success this season is just being overshadowed by Barcelona and the failures of Madrid.

The most of the problems is cos of the hype his signing received, everyone thought Madrid will be unplayable cos they just conquered Europe and now they got Mbappe, another fuel to the burning team. Madrid attack intensity only increased in the second half, and Los Blancos dramatically managed to turn things around at the end of the match. Mallorca almost managed to take home a point, but they lost focus towards the end of the match. The additional three points no longer increase Madrid chances of winning the trophy, the victory only postponed Barcelona party, because Hansi Flick team only needed one more win to secure the La Liga trophy.

When I saw the match live up at 99 minutes and with a score of 1:1 this gave it up for Real Madrid, losing all their possible chances and at the same time not making any effort to reclaim their lost glory regardless of the strength of the clubs that their are up against lately, all though Real Madrid managed to win the match with a narrow 2:1 which came at rhw last minute when all hope was almost lost for Real Madrid, this is a pointer to whatbis ahead of thenclubbinnthis remaining part of this season.

That’s usually the Real Madrid time, the plus minutes and they used it to their advantage in this game. They couldn’t do that when it mattered the most though, when they played Arsenal. Arsenal exposed what a shit show we have in this team and their loss to Barcelona in the El-Classico even after leading with two goals confirms that, there isn’t much left for Real Madrid with this squad and mentality. They need to come up with something real quick else it’s all gone for them, of course this season is out of it.

Madrid seems to still not be able to improve their defense line because looking at this match we must be aware that their problems are still the same where their defense is quite bad and even seems to rely on each other even though it cannot be denied that in this match Madrid's attack was very dominant especially for attempts to kick from outside the penalty box showing that they are quite confident and trying something that should have been done a long time ago.

On the other hand, I want to praise Mallorca's goalkeeper in this match because if Roman was not in good condition then I think there would be more goals scored for Madrid in this match but it seems Roman is on fire. Although he could not save his team from losing points but it cannot be denied that in the match there were brilliant saves made by Roman.

This week or more precisely maybe today we will see whether Barcelona will party in the match against Espanyol because indeed 3 points will make them champions or still have to wait for next week to confirm it.

It's amazing that Real Madrid had to work so hard to win against Mallorca and play until the last minute of extra time. Real are really lucky that they finally got the win and it has extended Barcelona's wait for the trophy. If Real had lost against Mallorca, the league title would have been guaranteed for Barcelona with three games left. Now if they win against Espanyol, the title will be guaranteed for them and I think they can do it very easily on Thursday.

Real Madrid were great in attack but they could not goal and were desperate to score. About 11 players from the first team including Vinicius did not play in this match, some of them were injured or suspended. You are right that Ancelotti is not able to concentrate now, he is busy signing contracts with the Brazilian national team.

You thought Madrid was lucky to win. You are saying that if they had played against better team like Betis or Alaves or Valencia so they would have taken advantage of mistakes Mallorca made and could have beaten Madrid.
You are pointing out that Mallorca was not good at keeping ball and missed too many chances to score. It means Madrid did not play  well like they play in past.
And that can be good reason which you mentioned that Carlo Ancelotti might be thinking about leaving club soon and that is why he is not coaching team as well as he mostly do. So Madrid win was not because they played great but because they got lucky that night.

Since Real Madrid got a dramatic win against Mallorca in the dying minute, I don't think the Mallorca goalkeeper will be named the man of the match because they will likely give it to one of the Real Madrid players. I blame Mallorca's last defender for the Real Madrid late goal because he had all the opportunity in the world to clear the ball from danger before Jacobo would have gotten close to the ball, but he chose to guide the ball, which made Jacobo fly and kick the ball in the air to give Real Madrid a late goal and win. You are correct; this Real Madrid win against Mallorca has delayed Barcelona from winning the La Liga title, and Barcelona has to wait until the next match day of La Liga to see if they can win it.

Barca are trying their best to finish La Liga the way they started and they are a successful team. Real Madrid most notable problem is their lack of consistency. The most challenging for them has been injuries to players and the inability to use them properly. Real coach Ancelotti has used a variety of tactics among the players and has shown the opposing team to be aggressive but has not prioritized his own defense. The loss to Barca in the last match was an unfortunate one for them. You might have seen that in that match, the attacking players were successful but the defense line failure was clearly evident.

It is a fair statement that Barcelona are trying their best to finish La Liga the way they started.This team has faced the likes of Real Madrid many times this season but Madrid are struggling to cope with Lamin Yamal. Previously most people would have observed that Lionel Messi was Real Madrid's biggest nightmare but nowadays it seems that Lamin Yamal has taken that place. Moreover in the recent El Clasico match, you noticed that they had a failure in defense even if Fermin's goal had not been ruled out by VAR they might have lost by a much larger margin. In my opinion Madrid's most trophy winning manager is already gone, so they will now face even greater challenges.

Barcelona is winning the La Liga, Real Madrid has shown sign of weakness and they don't deserve it in my opinion, four times El Clasico losing to Barcelona, what a shame they don't deserve winning it, in this case i have to support Barcelona it has been a long run for them and truly any football lover without sentiment should know Barcelona had a dream filled season and whatever titles to be given is well deserved to Real Madrid becoming La Liga Champions.

If Madrid like they should win today, nothing changes that they ended second place, my only concern was to see Lewandowski finish with the highest goals, same way Kane is to do in Bayern Munich.

It is not that Real Madrid doesn't deserve to win the La Liga title this season, but the problem is that Barcelona is leading Real Madrid by a big points difference, and even if Barcelona loses their next 2 matches in the league, they will still lead Real Madrid by 1 point in the La Liga table, which will be difficult for Real Madrid to beat Barcelona to the La Liga title because Barcelona can't drop 7 points before the season ends.
