From my observations, the substitute made by Flick killed Barcelona game strength. Barcelona was playing pretty good before bringing in Rashford and Fermin to replace Olmo and Raphina. But what caught my attention in this match was the performance of Joan Garcia. Barcelona bought a gem this season by spending 25 million. The new Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso I think is still trying to find the best playing pattern for this team and from the positives I've seen so far, I'm optimistic Real Madrid Wil ve challenging for the biggest trophies this campaign.

Yeah, Xabi's team is not good enough despite winning the game against Mallorca. Some points need to be highlighted from this game is that Mbappe needs to work on his offside timing. He keeps suffer the same problem since he signed for Madrid. If he can work on it, he will score more than he produces now.
There are so many non accurate pass, and their team often give space to their opponent when transitioning from attacking to the defending. Xabi must be working on it.

On other hand, i still see some positive in this game. Trent and Huijsen looked better. Arda with his impressive performance, and it seems he is getting even more matured with his gameplay. It's a good game overall.

Real Madrid team is seen as not performing well but they have secured their 9 points so far from their 3 games. Xabi Alonso is not used to playing a fancy ball but his winning mentality is his strength. Remember his days in the Bundesliga, Bayern Leverkusen mostly always win their games at the stoppage time even when they trail. Even though his strategy is not the best for fans who suffer continuous heartache due to time, he has always found his way.

It is normal to assume that he's winning now because he has only played against the lower teams in their 3 games but it is not very true. Real Madrid may pull a surprise this season. They don't need a fancy ball, they only need a Xabi Alonso's Tactics and mentality. Vinicius Junior is gradually coming back to his form and he is promising for the season.

So far so good Xabi Alonso is still on the good track as a good manager in as much as he's trying to pick his first eleven and trying to balance the Spanish LA Liga patterns of play, he's played three matches won the whole three matches got nine points scored 6 goals and concede one goals I think it's not a bad start for Xabi Alonso, with this kind of performance I believe Real Madrid is gonna win a major trophy this season, it was hard for Kylian Mbappe to find the back of the net yesterday as he had scored in their last two La Liga game but it's all good since it's not a lost to them.

Yeah they weren’t but they could have easily done that if they didn’t missed all those golden chance they had to create a good goal margin..Both side had chances though but Barca were much more clearer, considering they still conceded despite the number of saves from Garcia.. ‘ offside’ saved their a** a couple of times today but the MVP was well deserved to  Garcia.

..but seeing how they are able to come back into the game Barcelona coach will need to make a good chance to avoid his team losing this game.

Today's game was indeed a disappointment because I lost my bet because of this game. I was expecting barcelona to win the game but it seems that rayo vallencano really put up a good competition against them. Barcelonas position is being threatened at this point because other teams are also pushing towards it and they are not relenting. Like you said, Barca really needs to work on their defense

Perhaps if Rayo Vallecano had been a little luckier, they would have gotten three points from Barcelona instead of just one.
