I was honestly very surprised, it's clear that these are unpredictable results that make me love football more and more, Girona is certainly doing little, but it must also be said that their last matches have been very unpredictable and impossible to predict.

I am not seeing Atletico having to struggle for any reason on this, for me this is going to be like a supposed win already, the form in which Atletico is and they are having the home advantage, it is all enough to keep them far ahead of Sevilla, they may not win with many goal difference but I believe they are getting three points from this by the end of the game. This is not me undermining Sevilla but they are just of very different team strength.

Winning El clasico is always an  honor. More importantly, Barcelona and Real Madrid are the two main contenders for the La liga title. These two teams will be in the title race until the end of the season. So , whichever team wins the head-to-head match will move up the points table. Madrid won El clasico , so they are now 5  points ahead of Barcelona. If barcelona could have won, Barcelona would have been at the top of  the table now.

Real Madrid is leading by a big margin. However, if they want to win the title, they will definitely have to keep their performance stable. If they cannot play well consistently , it will  become difficult to keep the top spot in the table. On the other hand, if Barcelona fails to play well in the upcoming matches, then their points gap with madrid will increase further. And they will gradually fall  behind in the title race.

I will not go down this route with this analysis. Those times Atletico Madrid played Sevilla, they were second and third place on the table, they were the third team that are feared most in Laliga during that time but today is unlikely, you can see they are barely try so hard to hold onto the 4th place that if they loss this match, they may get dropped down from the table and Español will follow immediately to be at the top of the table to take their position.

The only thing I'm going to bank on here is the fact that Sevilla team are going to travel down to Estadio to play this match, it's possible that Atletico might want to show dominance and not allow any form of intimidation from Sevilla. If they do win this match, that's going to be a good to take over Villarreal if eventually they failed to win their match, at least it's going to be a safe place for Atletico to fully maintain third place and continued to fight for upper spot.
