It was expected to have a win today, they dominated but that didn’t change the fact that they had 18shots and just 7 were only ontarget .. what happened to the rest . I wasn’t chanced to watch the game but 7 offsides how come?

I was actually expecting them to actually drop points in their first game because the euphoria for the match was just too much and I though it could lead to some upset plus most of the players just came back from international duties as such could have fatigue issues, but Barcelona definitely showed that it was there game and took it right from the start.

Since Barcelona's 3-0 win against Getafe a few months ago, Barcelona has struggled to win games without conceding. Barcelona have conceded in every game since then, but now they have broken that terrible record with a resounding 4-0 victory. I'm not saying it was an easy win, but the good play and finishing of the chances created throughout the match certainly made the win seem easy for them.

I honestly don't know what Nico Williams was thinking when he rejected Barcelona like that. I'm a Real Madrid fan, but I think Nico Williams' choice was very poor, and that's showing in every round. Initially i was really worried when i saw the released lineup, no Raphinha, Rashford, Casado and then i spotted Eric Garcia at the midfield whose natural position has always been the centre back and occasionally as a full back, that's when i almost melted coupled with Gerrard Martin at the centre back, i thought we were going to draw the game but i have to say Eric Garcia was amazing, he is proving to be a utility player, we might even put him as a striker , he(Eric Garcia) really replaced dejong well, dropping deep to help the defensive line and also pushing up to help the attack, mehnn , i can't just stop talking about his performance, i was really impressed.

Then Lamine Yamal, i guess that nomination didn't inflate his ego has he was exceptional today, his first travela assist to Feran Torres was beautiful even the second, if he continues like this he is definitely going to be the face of his generation of football.

I guess the solution for the highline actualized from the Celta Vigo's match made by Hansi Flick really sticked, i think it still needs some tweaking but if it continues like this i think Barcelona can go far.

Then Joan Garcia !!, so Szczesny was truly a problem in that goal post, it feels good to
have a reliable goalie in the post, he had a brilliant performance today and he continues to remind me why i admired his plays back when he was in Espanyol.

This was the Barcelona everyone was thinking they are going to lose to Atletico, I had the doubt but this team is better than Real Madrid without hype. Barcelona is a team that you can say they are complete package. The team firstly gave Atletico Madrid 2 goals even before the red card of Sancet. The guy thought this is El classico but Barcelona handle this game with maturity, they know what they were here for and that's the 4 goals they made today.

Barcelona is back to the top but Real Madrid are yet to play their game which is tomorrow, I don't think Elche has the tough skin to stop Real Madrid even if things is that bad for them but we don't know what some minor teams are capable of doing until they show their reaction on the field. As a Real Madrid fan who's very optimistic that the club will end the season with the Spanish La Liga title I think what Xabi Alonso has done so far with the team is convincing enough for anyone to see Real Madrid as the favourites to win the league this season. However, I feel the club players and the manager need to do much more better to achieve their aim. Barcelona are currently at the top of the league with goals difference, though Madrid will re-establish a 3-point gap if they beat Elche. Real Madrid need to be more consistent than they've been since the start of the season to help Xabi Alonso win the La Liga in his first season at the club

Not only tonight did Barcelona perform well. After losing to Madrid, the next 3 matches were always won with convincing scores, and in every match after losing to Real Madrid, Barcelona always scored at least 3 goals.
Against Elche they won 3-1, against Celta Vigo they won 4-2, and tonight they won decisively against Athletic Bilbao with a score of 4-0. Their performance has returned to good form. Perhaps @Nico Williams was threatened by the playing time.
