Yeah, their inconsistency continued last night. I don't think it's normal considering how many of their star players. There is something wrong in the dressing room!. Many players are dissatisfied with Alonso's management. Federico Valverde, Vini Jr., etc, seem not to really have chemistry like the previous session. Maybe Xabi is more focused on Mbappe and forgets another player who can build the attack. And on the other side, they hard to win, which is projected easy to get 3 points. Now, their rival Barcelona has shifted 1st position, it's like deja vu from the previous session.

Yes, i think that there is no longer that alchemy that characterizes Real Madrid's victories, obviously everyone was seeing this and i think they want to get rid of Xabi Alonso and i think he doesn't have much left, this team is not managing to get the results they hoped for.

In 5 consecutive away matches, Real Madrid only managed 1 win and their next opponent is Athletic Bilbao at San Mames, of course the next match will not be easy for Real Madrid because the atmosphere at San Mames has always been an obstacle for big teams to bring home full points.

A draw at Girona home ground was never expected because before the match started Girona was in 18th place in the standings and was the team with the most goals conceded (25) in La Liga this season. Real Madrid were unable to score a single goal against Girona through an open game. For god's sake, it's the near last team with the second worst defence in La Liga, exactly the weakness Madrid needs lately, how can you give 1.4 odds on over 3 goals and 1.46 to Real, is Girona going to score twice or what, because if you expect 4-0 it's not like you offer 1.46 odds.

It turns out Girona wasn't as weak as we thought, as the match ended in a draw. This further adds to Real Madrid's poor record in La Liga. As we know, Real Madrid haven't been able to get satisfactory results in their last two matches, and last night's draw against Girona further exacerbates their current dire situation. I don't understand what's going on with the Real Madrid players. They played with their best squad in this match, but they looked incredibly weak and blunt. While it's true that Real Madrid had numerous shots on goal in this match, unfortunately, none of them resulted in goals.

With that in mind, I believe Real Madrid's front line really needs to improve. I think Real Madrid's front line is getting increasingly blunter. In this match, Real Madrid were able to get a draw because they were awarded a penalty. I believe that if Real Madrid hadn't been awarded a penalty in this match, they would have definitely lost to Girona. So, with that, Real Madrid is in real trouble right now, as their position has already dropped. And Barcelona has now managed to become the top of the standings again for a while.

I've been wrong for a lot of matches, but lately this tops by far.
I spend 10 minutes watching he replays, first not understanding why they started with the 35-minute, well, because there wasn't anythign to watch till then, one shot from Real, then Mbappe thinking he plays gold by adjusting the ball then Girona scored, 3 highlights for the first half, a former CL winner billion team and one of the weakest in la Liga and this what you get.

I do not think so. Vini's performance was quite good. He was able to take 7 shots. But , only one shot was on target. Arda guller in the attack could not perform well in this match. If Valverde and Guller had played a little better, maybe Madrid could have won the match.

Those 7 shots include the times he was playing with the ball in the locker room or did I see another match?

There were several moments where Madrid players had opportunities to shoot from distance, but they didn't capitalize because Xabi wanted everyone to be more direct in the penalty box, resulting in a stalemate with no one daring to take the initiative. 24 shots and only one goal, isn't that a lack of quality? They even tried to build up attacks through Courtois, but they tended to be slow.

Now that they have played draw and the are now below Barcelona I'm sure there eyes will be more clear, real Madrid is not performing well they are not serious to lift the la Liga title, if Real Madrid had a very good plan in winning this match that was played yesterday believe me they would have won it, the coach should better change strategy Because the strategy his using is not working they have draw 2 to 3 matches now and is back to back, now that Barcelona is topping the table it will be very difficult for real Madrid to go back to the top of the table.

Yes. Real Madrid has squandered an opportunity to remain at the top of the table. I watched the Girona vs Real Madrid match last night, Girona played like a final when facing Real Madrid in their stadium, Girona was very determined to beat Real Madrid. In the 45th minute, a goal from young player Azzedine Ounahi who maximized a pass from Viktor Tsyhankov gave Girona a 1-0 lead. Xabi Alonso changed tactics by taking off Arda Guler and bringing in Camavingha, I think it was quite helpful. The only goal that Real Madrid was able to score was a penalty goal from Kylian Mbappe in the 67th minute of the match.

It was a tough match for Xabi Alonso amid rumors of tension in the locker room between players and coaching staff, it was a shame that Madrid had to lose points which made them have to be in 2nd place in the La Liga standings.

It means Madrid's attack is not as efficient as we expected. There are too many disconnected between any of their players. From what i have seen how Vini ain't good being paired with Mbappe. Meanwhile, Bellingham has also been shite when he played together with Guler.
Tchou and Cama are also the same.

Other than it having no creative midfielder who is in the same type as Toni Kross is making the club looked toothless. There are so many issues with the club.

Their draw makes Barca surpass them. If they keep repeat the same perforamnce, they gave trophy to Barcelona.

I'll say that even the penalty was questionable, and Real should have scored a few more goals, but they've been very weak in attack in recent games. It happens, I'm a Barcelona fan btw, disregard the first statement, it was just me switching sides for that particular game. Well, all I can tell you is that Real Madrid itself is really losing it among themselves, but games like this do come up even when there's nothing going on. Barcelona struggles just like this against weak teams sometimes. It's  also true the relationship between some of these players has changed and it's not like they used to be before the arrival of Mbappé. I don't know if the prioritizing of Mbappé as their main goal scorer has caused it, but all I know is that as long as Mbappé is still at Real Madrid, his teammates have to take him as their goal scorer. It's the only way they can prevail.

Are you trying to say that if  Madrid players takes direct shots without entering the box and the shot result to a goal, will Xabi be furious with the player or he will praise the player if the goal gives the the win? It's not everything that we will blame the coach, the players should take responsibility and do their job when it's becoming obvious that their team is in danger and in desperate need of action. The Madrid players were just wasteful yesterday they need to be more clinical with their finishes. It's unbelievable that they had 24 shots on target and only managed to score from a penalty. That's a very poor performance.

In this match, Real madrid's match strategy and formation were both different. Maybe the players  could not adapt to the strategy well. Madrid players were able to make a lot of attacks. They also got a lot of chances. But their finishing was weak. And that's why they fell behind. girona was expected to play poorly defensively in this match. Madrid's biggest failure was  conceding goals. Girona's attack was very weak. They scored only 13 goals in 14 matches. Against  such a weak attack, Madrid conceded goals in the first half. The defenders needed to be more  careful. Madrid's defense is also weak this season. Teams like olympiacos also scored 3 goals against Madrid.

The draw game yesterday did not help Madrid at all because I know they know how closely Barcelona have been looking to take over this top table yet they failed secure a win with a club which is currently at the bottom of the table standing with their performance this year. Girona has been consistently inconsistent with their performance in the sense this year they will perform awesomely, next year they will fumble and fail woefully. I don't know why they are like this but it is why they won't get fans and followers like me because I had once admired them so much and wanted to take them my second team to support but they are not just consistent and reliable for once. They are easily discouraged and underperformed. Now with Barcelona at the top of the league, I don't think they will joke with such chances now and will work hard for any opportunity which comes their way so they won't want to lose or draw any match going forward.

Of course their draw helped Barcelona to recover and overtake them, in fact Barcelona are now top with 34 points.

There is no debate about Mbappe performance for Real Madrid. There are a few players in the team who are probably not sincere in taking the team to a better position. Although I am speculating but if you do a search on the whole team you will see that some players have inconsistent behaviour. Reluctance to pass the ball or an attitude of not helping another player to score. If you consider the last match to review the team you will see that Girona are not a very good team but Real Madrid 11 players could not beat them. Even in the whole match they managed to put only 5 shots on target. It is not easy for Xabi Alonso to find the flaws in the team but it is not impossible to find out what is the underlying attitude of the players. You still have faith in Real Madrid to win trophies but the team management needs to analysis the team capabilities and focus on finding and solving the problems of the players.

Losing points in three  consecutive matches is not a normal occurrence for a  big squad like madrid. Madrid needs to perform more carefully. Madrid's performance against olympiacos in the Champions League match was also not good. Alonso  changed his strategy and formation in this match. Madrid played in a 3 -3-4 formation. But despite the change in strategy, they failed to get full points.

Girona are very weaker than three seasons ago so failing to get three points from Girona is truly a disappointed result for Real Madrid while it actually affects their title competition with Barcelona and Real Madrid.
