This is interesting because if you look at past statistics even though Atletico have always struggled, they provide good resistance even if you look at the previous 3 matches there is always drama presented in this match and I hope this will remain the same.

I wouldn't say Real Madrid is in a bad situation throughout this season because that's not the case. Previously, Madrid had been at the top of the standings for a long time, at least after dropping points in the last match against Girona. Failing to win against a small team in three consecutive matches is a big loss for Real Madrid, now Xabi Alonso must be satisfied with seeing his team in second place after Barcelona managed to surpass them in points. The decline in performance has been significant. I can understand when Ancelotti had difficulty formulating a strategy due to the injuries of many key players. Real Madrid inst exactly a team that's going through a bad period, obviously everyone is noticing this and obviously the other teams are trying to throw mud at them to try to intimidate them but that's not the case, in reality it's true that they're second but they're also there fighting and they have a great team so i wouldn't say they're exactly bad.

The last matches of Real Madrid were actually an interesting game. I was impressed with thoer performances and consistency. At times it's better to go on a draw in some matches than to be defeated woefully, although people were surprised how Real Madrid dropped down from the table unexpectedly. Despite thier huge victory in El Classico, it was due to thier 3 consecutives drawd in thier last matches that were played against Rayo Vallecano, Elche and Girona FC, those 3 games or matches weren't expected to be that way,but that's how games is at times.

However, today the Barcelona is going to be playing against  Athletic de Madrid tonight. The match isn't going be funny, though. Since the both teams are in thier best form right now, both teams are among the top 5 positions in the table.

Yeah, their inconsistency continued last night. I don't think it's normal considering how many of their star players. There is something wrong in the dressing room!. Many players are dissatisfied with Alonso's management. Federico Valverde, Vini Jr., etc, seem not to really have chemistry like the previous session. We saw no team dominant in this match because one team should try to attack but they played defensive and tried to draw this match and both teams were safe in this match but one team should think out of the box to win this match but they could not do that.

Of course Barcelona VS Athletico Madrid is the most anticipated game this round it will be a very competitive game as Athletico will want to move up closer to the top but it will be difficult because Barcelona is the home team and they wouldn't want to lose their top position now. It's better they win so they won't have to pray for Real Madrid to drop anymore points again.
I doubt if they can revenge right now because they are not the home team but they can improve their performance and see that they are better than last time. Their form has improved too and they can challenge properly now but still Barcelona is at advantage. They only need to be defensive cautious if they want to come out victorious because if they can defend Barcelona attacks then they can easily win since they are not so good at defending.

While in normal cases I would agree with you, but ATM do not look that great this season, Simeone always has these type of seasons where he is trying to handle the team as much as he can, rebuilding so to speak and because of that I think he is not having that kind of great year at the moment. Thank god they have Julian, and he scores a lot, without him they would have been even worse, but they look alright thanks to him. Barcelona, even with missing so many players, still looks like better.

This is why I think it's quite obvious that we are going to see Barcelona win here. Of course it's football and anything could happen, but we have seen Girona not losing to Real Madrid, that doesn't mean we shouldn't bet on Real Madrid, same goes here.

I still can’t believe Lewandowski missed that penalty, anyone can miss a penalty and every top penalty taker has miss but it is the way Lewandowski missed his today that is surprising.
Lewandowski is a 37 year old player that is very fit and has experience more than any Barcelona player in the starting line up so he should do better than taking the penalty kick above in cross bar like that.
