The problem Vini has is that, Mbappe always outshine him and gain more attention because he's a good finisher.

Atletic Club looks weak in their attack and defense. I didn't expect an easy win for Madrid. Their performance was superb.

Having Valverde and Camavinga who helped correct their pressing structure on the ball and off the ball did them a whole lot of favour and they were fortunate in the process, they got to score a goal which lead to more goals being scored. I wouldn't call it a an easy win, they've earned it trust me. Athletico Madrid might be in a lot more bad shape but they made sure Real Madrid fight. I'm yet to understand what's happening within the Nico brothers and the squad. They need to start picking up quality three points.

Maybe not there best @Lewandowski and Yamal but, these two has carried the team on their shoulders to an extent that, they would always have to shade some weight at some point. Without any injury, this Barcelona first eleven can defeat every team in this world, but when any of their key players get injured, it will become another thing entirely due to lack of squad depth, and I am very sure they don’t have enough squad depth because of their financial situation,  and they are still trying like this, unlike some teams that have the money and went to sign the wrong players, and I plane the coaches for that.

January transfer window is coming up, Barcelona needs a defender same as Real Madrid because they are the two highest teams in the Laliga, yet they don’t have reliable defenders.

It's actually not an easy task to build such squad depth you're thinking of, for me, I think Manchester city was the only team that had such squad depth in recent times in their previous reigning days. Guardiola is good at building for the injury days. Back in those days when Foden was a substitute player and co.

I  think that it will be easier for Barcelona to achieve such feat faster before real Madrid because I don't really like the current real Madrid squad. All their victories in recent times are hard fought even though they performed good against Athletic club. Defence is a major problem for the two teams and I don't see them fixing it anytime soon except for the transfer window in January. I am loving the performance of Kylian Mbappe after every media backlash and cyber bullying in His first season. His performance right now is fire for fire with 16 league goals, 8 goals clear from his second runner up Robert Lewandowski who has 8 goals, Ferran Torres and Muriqi at 8 goals too. I would love to witness real Madrid lift this title this season, at least to justify the many goals of Kylian Mbappe. He has performed too well and if a player was a team, he would be far gone with the title.

At the moment Xabi at Madrid just has to try and keep the situation on track, even though they didn't have any bad results in the previous 3 weeks, this match really showed their mentality again and this is what I expect from Madrid's performance.

At a point, I was worried about who the next captain would be; lewandoski obviously got more years of experience than the rest, but does he have those leadership qualities? Probably not.

They are slowly discarding that winning mentality that the ole-days Real Madrid has always had, or could it be because they have so many trophies already? Defensively, offensively, they're as soft as jelly. Those shots from outside the box are so disjointed and predictable (aside from mbappe's). I sincerely hope that Xabi realizes he can't play with high pressure and that he should play a low mid-block or a 3-4-3. With someone on the right like Endrick, they would have three bullets upon front after winning the ball back.

Mbappé’s performance in this match truly showed the quality of a world-class player. His first goal wasn’t just beautiful in terms of execution, but also demonstrated incredible striker’s instinct calmness, speed, and a very clinical finish. It’s not an exaggeration to call it one of his best goals since joining Real Madrid.

I just saw Real Madrid's best game of the season. Their playing style was excellent, they also managed to execute well measured one-two passes, their intensity of play successfully put pressure on the opponent, coupled with a variety of attacks and counter attacks that were fast and targeted. The presence of Valverde, Camavinga, and Tchouameni made the midfield more balanced, they managed to ward off every attack built by Athletic Club.

This victory came at a cost as Trent Alexander-Arnold is injured and is likely to be out until the end of 2025. Athletic Club seems to be experiencing a phobia when facing big teams, having previously been humiliated by Barcelona with a score of 4-0 and now they have again lost important points in front of their supporters.
