Well what you say about Madrid and Xabi Alonso might be true on one part and the other part might be cause of Madrid’s reputation and pedigree. For a team like Madrid, Barcelona, Man City, Bayern Munich, Inter etc mediocre is not acceptable. Fans and Management always want to see the best each time, even the media will blast you if there’s a little fall below normal, so it is and even if they’re still playing good all those small hiccups will affect them cos they’re in a race against Barcelona (the same is also expected of Barcelona).

The expectations from fans and management on big teams like this are always constant, they will never settle for anything less when it has to do with big teams like that, if it were possible, they would want to request of them not to loose a single game because that for them means some sort of mess they would not want to see. The frustration on the faces of the Bilbao players, both goalkeeper and defender, was clearly visible, as they seemed to want the match to end as they were unable to contain Madrid slick play. This is different from Kompany's time with Bayern Munich, where Bayern were simply too strong compared to other teams. Alonso also needed a season or two with Leverkusen before creating a miracle. I'm confident Real Madrid will soon achieve their first treble with Alonso. Madrid's performance has actually been quite good this season. They've only lost once and are only one point behind Barcelona. They also managed to beat Barcelona this season after an embarrassing result the previous season. So, technically, Real Madrid is better this season.

There were no surprises about the match, I think it was normal that Real Madrid were able to create many chances throughout the match. After all, Bilbao was not in their best form against Real Madrid and Bilbao's performance was very inconsistent. Bilbao had suffered 7 defeats in 15 matches and they had conceded 20 goals, so there was no surprise when Real Madrid beat them with a score of 0-3.

I was actually surprised by the number of shots on target that Real Madrid had in that match, only 3 goals were scored from a total of 14 shots on target. Real Madrid deserved to win the match by more goals, Bilbao with less impressive form can be beaten at home.

Athletico Bilbao have played worse than in previous seasons but they have yet become a weak team so this win is a good match from Real Madrid. It can help Real Madrid to compete for La Liga title with not big difference behind Barcelona while it's good to finish the league match before Christmas with good results as positive preparations for many matches in a new year.

Nope, I didn’t see any new tactics when that game was played all I witnessed was seeing players ready to win games and press like animals fighting to win for the badge and also for the manager.
Atletico Bilbao was also bad bad, like they were no much of a big threat going forward nor attacking. Their fall off gas come by suprise one would think they will try to be consistent when they play for the Champions league competition.

There was no tactics that was used here that has never been used before. What I observed in that match was Real Madrid were very coordinated and well prepare and I don't think Atletic were ready, the game was completely out of seriousness. If Atletic had one goal, I will think that they were did their best and but were over powered but they didn't made any attempt to score one goal, the attack were weak and defence was not given that do or die.

There was also rumors that Alonso was threaten to be sack if they don't win this match. It could be as a result of the meeting he had with the club directors that made him do everything to win this game for Barcelona. I hope the game chase continues until they are able to pass Barcelona otherwise the way Barca has been on the run, there is nothing this guys can do even as Mpabe has been printing goals, the goals without trophy is going to be a useless performance.

I think it is still too early to determine which team will win this season's trophy. Unless in the next few weeks, we see a team pull ahead in terms of points difference. There is every possibility that he wins something, but trophies aren’t won in December which is why he should stick to managing his team and stop having issues with his players, that is going to help him a lot more, there is other competitions that are to be played, the La Liga title is there and the Champions League is also there for them to play and try to win something, Alonso have a very good tendency to win a trophy this season which is why I have been looking for him to win something in his first season, Real Madrid are playing a good football and they’re having bad run of fun, but they will have to stick to game plan and who knows how the season is going to happen.

If Atletico Bilbao had performed well, it would not have been easy for Madrid to win this match. I watched the match live . Atletico bilbao's players were able to make several strong attacks. But their defense was weak.

Athletic bilbao's defense was quite weak. They failed to resist Madrid's attacks. If the goalkeeper had  not performed well , Bilbao would have lost this match by a larger margin.

Anyway , it was very important for Real madrid to win this match. After losing points in three  consecutive matches, Madrid won. Real Madrid will try their best to win against Celta vigo in the next match. And Madrid has a higher chance of winning this match too.

I'm not going to rush to conclusions, although a 1 point difference seems easy for Madrid, but Barcelona was up to 4 points behind but managed to catch up. For now we have to let both teams compete to the fullest. 1 point difference is not enough for Barcelona or Madrid who have not fully proved their consistent performance.

I still have flash memory when Real Madrid made an update on the first November before Barcelona played their 11th game, they had 8 point difference with Barcelona but luckily for Barcelona they won their 11th game and the space became 5 but today, Barcelona is now ahead of Real Madrid, this is after Barcelona has missed some match and could win but I'm having confidence in them not to lose any, if 1 points can differentiate them now, more points will differentiate them further.

For Barcelona to be able to reach here today, that means Real Madrid has fumble. If they now put 2x of their performance into what they are doing now, then we say it's possible for the team to give Real Madrid 14 points difference. If that happen, it's going to be a big shame to Real Madrid and disappointment to Mbape for scoring all the goals but couldn't win the Laliga.
