It's truly a nightmare. Celta Vigo's attack isn't as threatening as the attacks of the top clubs Real Madrid have faced, but they were unable to secure it. Aside from the long-term injury, they aren't short of top players, but their performance is declining, and yeha, Xabi is one who is responsible for this. Look at the number of shots they concede; they missed so many. Unlike Celta Vigo, they optimized those shots very well. Real Madrid's defense made numerous errors and had very few clearances.

Real Madrid's defeat really surprised me. I mean, Real Madrid was on a positive run after their big win against Athletic Bilbao. I thought Celta Vigo would be an easy opponent, and they could keep the gap to just one point over Barcelona. After the win over Real Betis, Barcelona now has a four-point lead over Real Madrid, and in La Liga, that's a tough number to beat, as only a few teams have the potential to beat Barcelona. I'm sure Barcelona will experience unlucky situations in the future, but a four-point lead can still ease the pressure on Barcelona.
And as for Xabi Alonso, I don't think it's ethical to fire him after just half a season. I think we need to give Alonso a few seasons, because it's impossible to judge a coach's performance based on just one season.

It's unbelievable, there's no way to predict Celta Vigo would win in this match, so it's not a bad thing if bettors lose their bet.

Real is currently going through a major crisis in both play and results, and considering the quality of the team, this is truly disappointing. After the start of the season, when they beat Barcelona and were a much better team, it seemed to me that this would be a very successful season for Real, but now I am no longer sure. Some older players, like Modric, left at the end of last season, and the new players have not replaced them properly. Real was known for its toughness and stability and for winning even when not playing well, but that is no longer the case this season. Ancelotti was known for being able to build a team out of superstars, but Xabi is struggling in that aspect, and it seems to me that he has lost the locker room and the players, which is usually the first sign that a coach will soon be former. His conflict with Vinícius is not helping the team, and the club management needs to act before things get even worse.

I don't agree that if the defence alone has injuries, then only the defence will decline. That's not true. If any part of the team gets that many injuries, it affects the whole team. If 4 of Madrid's midfielders get injured it will affect the whole team, if 4 of their midfielders get injured, it will affect their whole team. When you have all your starting defenders injured and also the backup, it affects the whole team.

However, I agree that injuries alone are not what's making Madrid play this badly. It's true that if they had their starting defenders, they would have tried not to concede much and would have pressed higher and created more chances, but that will be only because of individual quality and not because the team as a unit is better.
Right now, the issues Madrid had last season are the same issues they're facing now. They press poorly, and the attack doesn't join in the press. The midfield cannot retain the ball and control the game, talk more of creating chances, then they have a defence that is not solid. They can fix their problems and get better, but they will need the right profiles in midfield and that is a proper AM and CM.

The midfield is not longer creative and the forward is not active to pressure the opponent defense. It was Vinicius Jr that shoulder the team before but it's now Mbappe. If Mbappe is not in form in any match, there's no goal celebration for real Madrid. Celta Vigo could have scored more goals if they were clinical just so you know how shamble Madrid have become. The race between Barcelona and Real Madrid continues to be quite exciting. So far, Real Madrid's results in the last three weeks have been unpredictable and surprising. Draws and yesterday's defeat. Moreover, they suffered this defeat at home, receiving two red cards. This means they will be without two players for next week's league match. They also have Champions League matches later this week, and they're dealing with injuries. Real Madrid appears to be in real trouble this year.

I'm afraid that Barcelona are not going to drop any point to let Madrid get close to them because we have gotten to the game week where the league seems like the last week of the season, no team would like to drop point and wait for the next week to amend their mistake, so at this point Madrid need to work harder to get a little bit closer to Barcelona and hope for the current league leaders to lose or draw their game and we know how Madrid is, not in a good form, lack of players due to injuries and winning games that seem to be easy becomes hard for them so I don't think Barcelona will allow Madrid to top them again.
