From top 3, the first team to play their match this weekend is Barcelona... They are going to be away against Espanyol tomorrow night. Espanyol are one of the attracting teams with a good level of form recently (5 wins in a row).

However they haven't been able to do much against Barcelona in most of their matches. Not even a win that I remember in a long while. But if they don't get a red card like Villarreal did against Barcelona then the match can be more interesting at least.

Espanyol is a team that has surprised me a lot this season. They managed to be in 5th place even halfway through the season, which is a good achievement because they aren't fighting to get out of the relegation zone, they aren't just playing to stay in unimportant places. They are fighting for a position that would give them access to European competitions, which would give them more money if they qualify. But unfortunately, their weakness is when they play against top 4 opponents. I think their "playmaker" is Arda Guler, but they are failing to utilize him better, because he lacks defense at all costs, and Modric or Kroos didn't had that..

Arda is not consistent aside from defense. He loses the ball more often than he does in a good game..That’s probably one of the reasons Xabi sometimes chooses not to use him, even though he’s one of Xabi’s favored players,maybe with more experience he’ll improve, but is this really how he’s going to get there with Realmadrid ?

IMO, Espanyol's performance is amazing. The team has won the last 5 matches in a  row. Their last defeat was against villarreal. Even after that, they have won every match. The  team is very serious about La Liga. It will be difficult for barcelona to beat this team at espanyol's home . But let's not forget that barcelona is in their best form now. This days I have been alittle bit sensitive about staking games with goal expectancy for Barcelona, they have been putting up low number of goals, unusual from what they use to do before, so a straight win will be enough for me.
