What I have observed lately about this real madrid team recently is that they have really step up their game, and the improvement came after xabi Alonso's job was seriously threatened, and since then, their performance in the field of play has greatly improved.
I honestly never saw that coming, that real madrid will be good to the extent of beating real betis 5-1, but their performance on that day and their ruthlessness in front of goal speaks volumes of how they have raised their game recently.
