You're right, Real Madrid's game plan in this match was relatively defensive and waiting to counterattack. Barcelona was very offensive and they really put Real Madrid under pressure, even now Barcelona has a 1-0 lead over Real Madrid. Raphinha made no mistake with his second chance and scored a fine goal to put Barcelona ahead.

Real Madrid were not without chances in the first half, but they were too easily denied, and this will certainly be a problem that must be addressed in the second half. Barcelona are not safe even if they take the lead, unless they end this first half with a 2-0 lead.

Barcelona is dominating and leading by a goal to nil but I'm still confident that Real Madrid are very much in the game. Real Madrid's first half tactical approach haven't been working for them as Barcelona have somehow defended those counter attack runs from the men in white but there's a certain Kylian Mbappe on the bench for Real Madrid. Xabi Alonso I believe will introduce his top scorer of the season in the second half and I see him punishing the Barcelona defence that's been very offensive in this game with his pace, finishing accuracy and overall techniques.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup Final, 20 minutes until kick off. This is possibly the biggest match up in club football, I really hope it lives up to its reputation. Should be a great game with some really elite players on show. I am leaning towards expecting a Barcelona win.

Hell nah the last half of the first half was really very interesting when 4 goals were scored immediately.

This is what I expect from El Clasico let alone the final although the dominance was very much Barcelona's from the start of the match but Madrid gave a pretty good reaction at the end of this first half.
The score is 2-2 and it is likely that this score will last until the end of the first half. I'm expecting this kind of tension in the second half although it might not be easy especially since up until now the rhythm of the game has been controlled by Barcelona but I'm expecting this final to belong to Madrid.

It's quite interesting waiting for the second half to happen because there are still some players who might fight especially now that Mbappe can also be featured although this might be a little forced and risky.

Barcelona is also my favourite because they're more in form than Real Madrid. One thing that gives me confidence in Barcelona is that Xabi Alonso hasn't got his team coordinated as he wanted, although recently they've started improving. The only way I think Real Madrid will stop Barcelona today is by getting the midfield from them, which you and I know is going to be tough.

Barcelona position is intact. I think only their defense is still slightly weak, but they have a good goalkeeper as backup. Xabi Alonso lineup is going to come with Kylian Mbappe as a substitute, which is a good idea although I expected that due to his injury. So definitely Barcelona will have less pressure in this first half. I know G. Garcia is trying but he won't be a threat like Kylian Mbappe.

There is nothing to coordinate if the team doesn't have the quality. Real Madrid has good players but not all can be consider good enough, this is why any time they have match, the good ones still try their best to put the team on a good place but the average ones cost mistakes that do affect the team. Today, they are one step forward and tomorrow they are 2 step back while Barcelona is always two step ahead of Real Madrid in everything they do.

The first half is aboitut to finish, both teams have same score but you can tell that Barcelona have them on their side. If not they lose some chances to Real Madrid, they will be crying by now. If the first half finish, the second half is there. If Real Madrid improvise and learn from their mistakes, they might be able to win Barcelona if they put more pressure like they have been playing them and if more chances are created for Barcelona, Madrid won't survive this.

What a first half filled with thrills, excitement and goals. These two clubs kept the vibes on and it made me flash back to during the days of Messi and Ronaldo in El Clasico matches. Barcelona took the lead twice and Madrid reacted back twice. Three goals in six minutes put the whole stadium on surprise. The first half ended 2-2.

Well so far it’s been so interesting  ..  it’s could still be hard to decide who’s going to win with the way the goals came in but still Barcelona seem to be dominating.. Dominance doesn’t win a game though , they need more goals. My guess could be Xabi is keeping mbappe & guller for the 70 mins subs  to push more on that forward. Whatever happens I’m still keeping my bet .
Btw the ref was part of the second goal, I wouldn’t want to make it a big deal but the game shouldn’t have continued upto that moment even lewandowski goal was a min over.

Super Cup have end of first half with good action from both sides Barcelona leading by 2–1 both teams are giving their best with ball possession is completely under control of Barcelona their attack and defense is having good balance this helping them for having lead.

Raphinha score first goal then equalizer from Vinícius Jr but near the end of first half Lewandowski score second goal for the Barcelona it's going to be good second half as Real Madrid attack is also giving their best even Barcelona defense not allowing them for having any advantage, but it's going to be another full action second half in this final game with Real Madrid can bounce back and have won as well.

Edit: wow Garcia bring Real Madrid back on level last seconds goal and now 4 goals in first half of this match amazing performance.

i just checked the dates, and the previous super cup final, barcelona's 5-2 victory, was exactly one year ago. that match was played on december 12, 2025. and the goal expectation for that match was also quite high.

i think barcelona will win tonight and there will be more than three goals. maybe a 3-2 result.

Your predictions might happen tonight because Barcelona have already scored one goal in the 32nd minute of the match before halftime, and they have missed couple of chances that could have given them a 2 or even 3 goals lead in this first half, but Real Madrid is also trying their best in the game.

What a match this is the way I want a final to be, four goals just in the first half. They are both playing a wonderful game, but Barcelona is in better shape. They create more chances than Real Madrid, but it's quite unfortunate that Barcelona can't defend their goals. Honestly, I'm not happy with their defense it seems too weak.

I hope Barcelona improve their game more in the second half, I'm sure they will be on the better side to lift this trophy. Looking at Real Madrid performance, they defended throughout the first half. If Barcelona have a good defense in this match, I'm confident that Real Madrid won't find it easy to score but let wait for the final result and see who's going lift this trophy.

True, dominance doesn't win games, I already knew that Barcelona will dominate the game from start to finish and Real Madrid needs to be clinical in every chance they have got, which means no wasting of chances. So far they have had 4 shots on target and converted 2 out of those 4 which is fair from the game so far. Barcelona is sure going to create more scoring chances because they are the team with most part of the ball possession which makes it easy for them to always go forward, the little time Real Madrid will have a shot on their goal should be in the back of the net that's how you win over teams that are dominating you, you do that by converting your chances. Real Madrid came from behind twice which means they are serious about this game and I like it. Second half is underway and we still hope to enjoy the game and hope we have a winner before 90 minutes to avoid extra time.

What a first half result, the pressure Barcelona was putting against Real Madrid and the expected goals and seeing this first half result is really unbelievable and unexpected from Real Madrid and if they can do this I believe partially that they might win the super cup because I was expecting Barcelona to have scored more than they have scored in this first half. Is going to be a long second half for both side and their last  meeting this season, Real Madrid emerge victorious so today I don't know if Barcelona will still allow it again or they will take their first trophy for the season as champions.

The Copa del Rey final is a great game, both sides are playing incredibly well, at first it seemed that Real Madrid might be a bit behind but what they showed before half time was really incredible. The game is over now we must wait for the result after the next half time. The Spanish Super Cup Final is actually very exciting so it is difficult to predict the results of these matches in advance i.e. to know who will win and who will lose you have to watch the whole game and wait.

I think they did it sincerely to say that they are the best and show it to everyone, now they just have to concentrate and keep up this pace, because Real Madrid certainly won't stand by and watch and so it will be very difficult to keep up this pace.

That's out of the question, it was a demonstration, but I think they could have gone further in that game since they slowed down significantly after that fifth goal.

Today is the big day though and it is a crazy game. A nice back and forth for the audience with many goals, 4 goals in the first halftime alone.

What I don't like is how much Real Madrid concentrates on counter attacks. There isn't much else other teams can do against Barcelona, but this is Real Madrid and I think they should be able to partake in the game more than they do. Yes they are effective with their counter attacks and they have good enough players to play that way, but below 30% ball possession is a bit too low. Nobody will care if they win, but if they don't thin their passive approach is one reason for an incoming defeat.

Whenever these two teams meet, there is always a number of goals scored between the two teams. Barcelona through Raphinha has been able to score a third goal to now give Barcelona the lead with less than 25 minutes left of normal time to play. Something tells me that there are still goals to see in this game.

Mbappe who did not start for Real Madrid has been introduced into the game to help Real Madrid salvage this game that looks to be going the way of Barcelona at the moment. Real Madrid supporters would have loved if he had started earlier, ther chances of winnig would have been higher knowing how good a goal scorer he is for Real Madrid.

Your prediction was correct, Xabi Alonso was forced to play Kylian Mbappe in the second half, but when Real Madrid were trailing 3-2. Besides, I didn't see Barcelona being too defensive in this match. In fact, it was Real Madrid who were forced to play defensively by Barcelona. Barcelona are still looking for a way to double their lead over Real Madrid, but I think they will have to defend very well considering Real Madrid are trying to find an equalizer.

In my opinion, Barcelona will end this match with a win if they are truly disciplined in the remaining minutes. They need to be balanced in attack and defense, of course, because I think Real Madrid will capitalize on any mistakes Barcelona make in the remaining minutes of the second half.

It is not the Copa Del Rey Finals, it’s the Super Cup Finals they’re not the same.
The El Classico is always a delight no matter what competition it falls under, but this one is something three goals under extra time of first half with just less than 2 mins intervals between goals! Incredible.

Barcelona have taken the lead once again, Raphinha just loves to score against Madrid and in the Super Cup, he’s not played much but he’s among the top scorers amongst active players.

Though Raphinha's goal came as gift because it was heading to the goalkeepers safe hands before it reflected off Eduardo Camavinga to rise above Courtois who had already dived, I still think Barcelona deserved it because they were asking too many questions in the Madrid defense. A Barcelona player Frenkie De Jong have just been sent off but it's already 2 minutes into the five minutes of additional time and if you ask me, I think Barcelona are going to win this one.
