Villarreal are a very strong team. It is impossible to get points  against them if they do not perform well. I think villarreal will win  or draw the match.

I don’t think this will be an easy game for Real Madrid at all. Villarreal are currently third in La Liga and have been very solid in the league: they don’t concede much, consistently pick up points, and have strong motivation in the table. I expect the home side to create chances and find a goal.

It's a very good game from Real Madrid, but them being on top of the table is just temporary for now. Barcelona's result will determine if Real Madrid have gotten the position as they wanted. Both Villarreal and Real Madrid had a good performance in this match. I was thinking maybe Villarreal would equalize but luckily Real Madrid got a penalty kick in extra time, which Kylian Mbappe played as a panenka kick and converted it to a goal, giving them peace of mind that they've secured the victory. I don't like how some Real Madrid fans are hyping Alvaro Arbeloa over Xabi Alonso, He's just played a few games, so I think they should observe him for maybe 10 matches to see how well he'll perform.

I wasn’t in doubt that the league goal scorer is actually going to be scoring again tonight against the yellow submarine’s seriously Madrid have shown an impressive display so far in this game but with a lone goal it’s a bit tricky because Villarreal are known to be one team that can hurt any time so a second might be crucial for them.

One most thing that impress me today was the fact that Curtois did not make any vital save today, due to the fact that Villarreal were unable to make any good short to the goal post and this gave him the space to relax and feel his balance, not too stress from the game.

That's a sign that Arbeloa has succeeded in taking a very good approach to these players so that they no longer impose their own egos on the field, they share the burden for their future. Talking about connection, I think there's a new level of partnership between Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe that's been unlocked. They're now playing for each other and aren't even concerned about who finds the back of the net. Alvaro Arbeloa is doing a great job already and if he continues this way, Real Madrid is very likely to win a major silverware this season.

Definitely we can clearly see that Mbappe was not in the game of today, and it was shown that he as not to seen and didn't perform as expected as he easily give away the ball to the opponent despite the two goals he score, and this is what cover it up for him, although he tried his best to made it through to the end, it was never an easy one as they managed to win with two goals.

He is playing an incredible season and that is great for him as an individual players, but he is also hiding many of Real Madrid's problems. This Madrid new coach is really doing very great and I think that will make some of the players that prefer to leave the club can easily change there decisions and continue playing with the big clubs, because many players dreams is to play in the clubs, so Madrid problems is from xabi Alonso that why they have been in bad shape this season, let see if madrid face any big clubs in Europe this season if they can defeat them. Yeah for real. They played with much comfortably in this game. So many positives showed such as Huijsen and Ascensio who defended well. Arda who ran a lot, which showing improvement in his physicality. Franco who always intercept. Vini who dancing at Villareal's defense at 2nd half and Mbappe who scored two goals.

The only negative is that there is still miscommunication between the midfielders and defenders, but they can sorted it out. So far so good.

In La Liga this season, the most competition between Real Madrid and Barcelona is not much of a point difference between the two teams, so each team will want to collect their full points in every match.
