You're right they have a lot of stars in the team but somehow they are not able to bond well and perform as expected but I feel it's because they don't have the right coach to bring out the best in them. You're more focused on the attacking department, I know it's not good enough but the defense and midfielders should have their own share of the blame too.

Also I still feel this is how their performance will be fluctuating like Bitcoin price  if they don't change this their signing strategy of getting players when they are young, it's not their style from initial, they are known to be the biggest team by housing the best players around the world but now they seem to be settling for less and that's why their performance have dropped significantly. Anyone that knows football will never expect Real Madrid to win a trophy this season, with the way Real Madrid players are playing in La Liga and champions league this season they are not ready to win a trophy, Barcelona is far better than even with Pedri, Real Madrid performance against Benfica exposed the team, the team lack winning mentality, the players are playing like they are not playing for Real Madrid, Real Madrid represent the best team in the world and the players make the team look worst team in the world.

There is no any coach Real Madrid will bring that will succeed if the team did not have a good midfielders, Camavinga, Tchoumeni, Arda Guler and Bellingham are not ready, those players lack creativity, signing Camavinga and Arda is a waste of money because those guys are the replacement of Modric and Toni Kroos and they don’t perform like them, Real Madrid will continue to struggle if they did not sell some players and if Perez did not do the right thing that means he can not be the president of the club again. Girona disappointed their fans tonight as they struggled at home to get a draw against struggling Getafe. With the form that Girona was as they have won straight three of their previous games before going into this game. The odds were in favour of Girona but that was not be as the away teams took the lead before Girona can mount up the pressure on the on the Getafe defense as they scored to level things up as the both teams share the spoils as the game ended 1:1 at full time. This would have been a reasonable tactic if Benfica's defenders had reacted "as they should" and tried to close down Real Madrid's attackers to avoid creating a dangerous situation near their goal (if the free kick went against them), but they ignored all the defense, went all-in and won. I don't see anything unusual or wrong here. Sometimes you act correctly and lose, sometimes you act incorrectly/riskily and win. Benfica were clearly luckier yesterday, by the way, I don’t want to say that they were lucky, they deservedly won the game and got into the 1/16.

I have not seen Madrid this way before but anyone that knows Mourihno knows that he likes challenges, these are the kind of game he likes, the one he can challenge players and teams. He baited them and they fell for it. I just saw this and it makes sense, are they too confident with these 5 defenders? It was wrong and they should all have been in the penalty box to defend first and then carry out a quick counterattack. No wonder the Benfica goalkeeper was able to score, the Madrid players and coach apparently didn't clearly see this situation. There should have been just one person, and they should have been in the center, not too far forward. Management needs to evaluate immediately. Madrid is so unstable. Real Madrid players have a lot to learn from Benfica. They have shown through their collective efforts how to weaken the defense of a strong team and play a dynamic game despite being a weak team. The expected thing is that Benfica has qualified for the playoffs to make it to the last 16 of the Champions League. For Real Madrid, this loss will ruin the momentum of the team. Real Madrid would have equalize the goals in that game yesterday if not that the red card happen in the second half, because they were trying to use that second half to balance the ball but the red card reduced their strength not to achieve victory. There are some clubs that will experience what Real Madrid experienced yesterday it will be hard for them to maintain one goal difference, but the game really cut people ticket yesterday because Benfica don't have potential players Real Madrid has in this season but Benfica took home advantage to secured three points.

If you watch Real Madrid players well in that game you will know that it was really paining them for the mistakes they made to allowed Benfica to secure those opportunity to beat them with one goal difference to secured victory.

Obviously it would be a shame, however scoring goals isn't the only way to be good. He scored 14 goals and yet the whole team scored a total of 24 goals, meaning dude scored more than all other players in his team combined, and not only that but he also can't stop other teams scoring neither, they conceded 33 goals instead and that shows you that they are not doing that much of a big deal at all, they are doing a very bad job at defense at the moment and because of that it is not going to be easy at all for them.

It's not surprising that Real Madrid ultimately lost to Benfica and their performance was very disappointing after two players received red cards seemingly destroying the Champions League DNA that had previously been quite strong for Real Madrid. Real Madrid's performance was very poor, even though they managed to score first through Mbappé and I didn't see Real Madrid's usual performance in that match.

There is still a chance to qualify through the play-offs, but if Real Madrid plays like this, it will be difficult for them to advance to the next round because the competition in the next round will definitely be much more competitive than the group stage and Real Madrid itself must be able to perform more consistently.

That's why Mourinho is nicknamed the "special one" because he knows what to do when they have a man advantage. Especially since it was the final minutes he ordered the goalkeeper to step up to score. Mourinho knew that Real Madrid even though they were behind would still attack even though they were short of men due to the red card.

There's nothing wrong here. The goal conceded would not change anything for the club. However, a goal scored in the last minutes might put them back into the top 8 again. That's the reason why all of their forwards were still staying upfront with the hope, ball would bounce back, and they can equalize the scores in the last minutes.
That's why all of forwards decided to take the risk by staying upfront. I guess you're missing this logic.

No one was not disappointed in Real Madrid’s performance yesterday, it was a disappointment. Although many had hope to see something better coming out from Real Madrid, they ended up disappointing everyone by losing the game. Things like this happen, but what happened to Real Madrid yesterday feels intentional to me, because how will they lose against Benfica and still get two red cards in the game? Isn’t that concerning and suspicious? Although they are struggling, having a better coach could be the solution, as that seems to be the problem.
