Real Madrid is going through such a bad situation at the moment, which is unfortunate for them, despite having enough star players in their team, they lost to a normal team in the Champions League.

IDK if you understand football or not, you think that Benfica is a normal team, is that right?

The answer is "No" to that, Benfica is one of the strong teams in the Portuguese league, even though they have not won the league title in the last 3 seasons, but they continue to put up a good fight against the other 2 challengers (Sporting CP & Porto). IMO, Real Madrid did the best they could, but they were unlucky.

I see a big threat for Real Madrid. Real Madrid will have to play two extra matches against Inter Milan. We should not forget that Inter Milan were the runners-up last season and they also beat the strong Barcelona. Real Madrid are not in great shape this season, when the opponent is Inter Milan they have no choice but to be serious.

Real Madrid will not face Inter in the playoffs. They cannot face each other because they both finished in 9th and 10th position. The teams in the 9th and 10th positions will be paired against the teams in the 23rd and 24th positions. So Madrid will either meet Benfica again or Bodo/Glimt. The same for Inter. They will either meet Benfica or Bodo/Glimt.

I think Madrid will qualify despite who they meet, because over two legs, they have what it takes to knock out either Benfica or Bodo/Glimt, even if they're not in top form.
Benfica would be the more difficult option, and after how they played against Madrid yesterday, I believe even Madrid fans and players would like to avoid them.
Benfica completely outplayed Madrid in the first half. They created more chances and could have even score about 6 goals if not for Courtois.

Oh btw, this week they will face Rayo in La Liga, the odds for Madrid to win are not good enough, only @ 1.27, BTTS (yes) is the most tempting with almost x2, very risky, but with Madrid's up and down condition, Rayo may still be able to score at least 1 goal.

Rayo, in my opinion, can score a goal and make that possibility a reality. Real Madrid have been making a lot of defensive mistakes lately. If they continue making these defensive errors in the league, they will definitely concede goals. I agree that betting on both teams to score is a smarter option than betting on Real Madrid to win.

Real Madrid's defeat to Benfica clearly demonstrated their poor defense even appearing disjointed. So, if Albeloa doesn't improve quickly they'll easily concede goals in the match against Rayo, especially since Rayo when facing big teams plays with full energy. In their previous match Rayo held Real Madrid to a draw and they've also held Barcelona to a draw this season.

So, Rayo shouldn't be underestimated by Real Madrid especially as they are struggling to move away from the relegation zone. But this match will be a tight one as Real Madrid won't find it easy to win, especially with their fragile defense and their star players still prioritizing ego over teamwork. So, my prediction is that Real Madrid will still win by a narrow margin but it won't be easy.

Now for not being super serious in this last game Real Madrid team has to play two more extra games because they dont reach the top 8 in champions League, i know for them is not so serious but damn is not good to carry more minutes in the legs of the players and worst it can be a super hard game if you have to play against other big team like PSG, so we are gonna see how expensive it was this yesterday lose.

In my opinion, Bellingham is a very overrated player right now. When he was injured at the start of the season Real Madrid was actually playing better. As soon as he came back, the team started going backwards. His classic move now is just dribbling a bit and then losing the ball. He doesn't really get bullied off the ball but he makes way too many passing mistakes and his long passing ability is limited anyway. He has great physicality but even that is decreasing now.

Just being overrated would be fine, like I would get being overrated, but he is also disrupting the team as well and that's the biggest issue. He has this diva type of character where he takes it very wrongly when he is benched, same with Vinicious as well.

So managers are afraid to take him out and this causes team to get worse. Look at Benfica game, they took out Arda Guler, who plays in similar position, and assisted and was passing or shooting amazingly, literally contributing to the game, and yet they took him out and kept Jude all game long who played nowhere near as good.

Which extra matches are you talking about because the league stage has just ended and they will be moving to the play-off round, maybe you are talking about them meeting in the play-off round since both Real Madrid and Inter Milan will be a part of it. However, if Real Madrid meet Inter Milan they won't be lucky as they were against Manchester City last season because Inter Milan knows how to beat Spanish teams. Last season's performance of Inter Milan should not be made reference to because if we even check it thoroughly, Inter Milan is not as vibrant as they were in the Champions League last season.

Jude still seems a little difficult for Madrid to let go of but it does not rule out Vini especially with her emotional nature that sometimes comes at the wrong time even against this coach can clearly be a bit of a difference even though she is still very good with above average skills.

Vini sold and Mbappe to the original position is not bad but indeed for this there must be consideration for a pure striker who can indeed become another goal machine.

While the results haven't met the team's expectations, there is immense pride in seeing the club's identity preserved with six homegrown players in the starting eleven. Undoubtedly they are building for the future, but finding a reliable goal scorer remains the only solution for the team to be in complete form. For now, these are the vital points that could mean salvation at the end of the season.

Genuinely speaking, I wasn't expecting this from Athletic bilbao. They started the league very well this season and it looked like they could battle for a Champions League spot with Villarreal, but currently, they have completely collapsed to the point where they are actually making Sevilla’s disaster of a season look stable by comparison. About needing a pure striker, I actually agree with @Furious 7 that putting Haaland and Mbappe together would be very difficult, since both of them want to be the main guy. If Madrid were open to it, they should go for Joselu, who used to be a proper striker for Madrid, but yeah, that’s probably not happening.

I think he’s misunderstanding or don’t know anything about Benfica, I’ve known Benfica for a long time now, and to be honest Befinca have been doing well on their own, Benfica is not a weak opponent for Real Madrid, they are capable beating Real Madrid. Which they did yesterday, so thinking they are weak or just normal team that Real could score like weak is wrong.

Moreover they were playing at home, they did pretty well, and I love that, even though I expected Real Madrid to win the match.

I understand Benfica is not a small team and I am not even going to take them to be any of those teams they can mess with, but this is real madrid we are talking, they are not a team Benfica should normally have this walkover them unless they lack form which is the real case scenario. You can't get a 4 goals trash on Madrid so easily, at least they should have work harder and all you have is Mbappe's two goals which could have been better with more goals to fill up the goal gaps existing in between the two teams. I doubt Haaland can adapt very well to Madrid's tactical system of play if he goes there. Remember, he was at Dortmund before joining Manchester City, and their system of play was not the same as that of Manchester City, but you saw the incredible performances he displayed over there that led to big teams starting to look for him to pen down a deal. I believe with a very good coach that will instruct him, it is a matter of time he will definitely adapt; all he needs is to get the ball then forget about the rest of the story.

Before the last match in league phase with Benfica, Real Madrid hold the third position, even just temporarily that's good. However a shocked defeat when visiting Benfica's home stadium changed a lot of things for Real Madrid, they not only lost the third position but also a position in top 8 and will have to join very risky playoff matches. I know Benfica are not weak. Benfica played at home, that is true. But let's not forget that real madrid is one of the most experienced teams in the champions league. And  they are fighting for the champions league title. When a team like that performs badly against benfica and loses 4-2 , it is really sad.

If the match was less  important for madrid, I would not be so critical. But the reason madrid failed to get points in this match is because they could not stay in the top 8 of the table. Even if they could get 1 point from this match, Madrid could have made it to the top 8 of the table. You have to accept that madrid lost this match because of their poor  performance. And if it continues like this, the team will not be able to win any title this season either.

I can say that I concur with most of the issues raised here, but I believe that the situation is not as unbalanced as it appears. Real Madrid are obviously in a bad spell, particularly in the defensive end and giving away easily to opponents is not a common thing with a club of such stature. It is just that they lose to a so-called normal team in the Champions League which is only more evidence of their unstable form. But we have the same story with Madrid. Even when they are disarranged and defenseless, they usually manage to get on.
