Madrid's midfield will get worse, because the current poor performance of Real Madrid is not due to Bellingham, and his injury will certainly be a big loss.

Honestly Elce got lucky with the amount of goals Barcelona missed. If you watched the game, hell even just the highlights, you would see that there were at least five more chances where Barcelona should have scored, and just got unlucky and failed.

It was a win for Barcelona but more important it was a good feeling that they finally looked a lot better than the team they were playing against, which hasn't happened in a while, they are still the leaders and they will stay there for a week more but they need to keep this momentum going.

Even Frankie Dejong made a statement that he would have had a lot more assists if not for the missed chances, another performance I continue to enjoy is Lamine Yamal, there is nothing normal about that boys performance, he brings back the reason I started watching football in the first place and he won man of the match 3 times in one week, lol.

One thing about that Elche game was that they were open so it easy to penetrate unlike the reoccurring low block defense most of the Laliga teams emulate.

Madrid's situation is not yet stable after the defeat to Benfica in the Champions League so I agree with your statement, friend, if they don't have more space because the opposing players are on their cards, Real Madrid won't be able to be dominant, otherwise they might end up in a draw, but fortunately their opponents are too aggressive and make lots of fouls so Madrid has lots of opportunities to turn things around and score a goal to secure victory in this match.

And they were able to score from the penalty spot. The fans expected a better performance from Madrid. But they are not able to do as expected. Anyway, they were able to secure 3 points. And Madrid is only 1 point behind Barcelona. Real Madrid is still trying to occupy the top spot of the table.

The referee was been partial in the penalty awarded to Real Madrid, that's why it wasn't replay more than twice for viewers to confirm whether it is truly a penalty against Rayo Vallecano or it was unintentionally kick that happened. To me, it was an unintentional kick that happened, and it wasn't enough reason to blow as a penalty.

I wasn't happy about the awarded penalty anyway because it is becoming tradition for referees to award penalty to Real Madrid in whatever means they can for Real Madrid to score and win their matches

Sure, I expected more goals in that match to dominate the game but I see that Real Madrid struggles to achieve the three point if not because they get penalties they should have draw the game and give Barcelona more hope to win the league title but now they they achieve the three point anytime Barcelona lose or draw any point in the competition they can top them up if they win. The way Real Madrid are just playing I don’t think they can get the opportunity to win the league if they didn’t improve more better in the league.

Real Madrid are not that strong like before, but I know they deserved to win that game. We all saw their performance. If not that they were not lucky, we all know that that game would definitely have been a win for them, as they really tried their possible best in the game. Although the penalty in the last minute was the reason why they won, if not for that, it would be disappointing to Real Madrid that after Rayo Vallecano got two red cards in the game, they still drew the game. Yeah obviously, it was a home match, and we were expecting better results from Real Madrid despite the fact that they didn't even make any good progress, like their performance level was not too good. Anyway, the deal has been done, and Real Madrid have won the match and also get the 3 points to keep maintaining their spot at 2nd place. This match clearly indicates to us that Real Madrid is not in good shape and still they are trailing with a lack of confidence, although they brought Arbeloa....

2-1 is not a satisfactory result from Real Madrid like they need to bring up more improvement in their team performance otherwise it will be quite hard for them to compete for the league title. They already knocked out from CDR, and their qualification in UCL is also looking bit skeptical.

Were you really expecting much from Real Madrid this season? As a Madrid fan you aren't supposed to be thinking about anything other than making a spot in the top four. Even though I see some sign of improvement in the past few games since the arrival of the new coach, I don't have high hope on Real Madrid this season. Normally, when a team changes a coach especially in the middle of the season, they are likely to have a difficult time for the rest of that season. Things were already difficult for Madrid before the coming of Arbeola but he seems to be able to contain the team from further damage and reduce the gap between Madrid and Barcelona.

Honestly it wasn't suppose to be awarded as a penalty from how I saw it, the tackle was too soft and my annoyance with the Rayo Vallecano players is that they have everything under their control, Madrid was the ones who are desperately in need of the 3pt but they choose to come out and compete with a more attacking Madrid side,  for me they should have hold on to the ball and frustrate them, it could have worked but they felt they have what it takes to beat Madrid and it back fired.

But when I hear people procrastinating all over the Internet about them been favorite client for VAR, I just smile because none of these people have a clue about football. What's wrong with a club like Real Madrid battling to win and in the process for a penalty. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the club, they've experienced their down time and also up rising moment. This is the level of the club, edging to win the major trophies this season and they're not going to stop by for anything.

Real Madrid performance against Rayo Vallecano was elite. They were really determined to win today's game in other to close the gap against their pre-eminent rival, Barcelona. Real Madrid players deserves some accolades because it's no easy task to accomplish winning  against such an opposition.

It changed by a lot since last year as Rayo Vallecano lost less than one third of their games last year. This year it is not yet like a walkover, but it is quite close to it. They have the second worst attacking line in La Liga and that is their biggest problem. They have several games with no goals scored and I find it surprising that Real Madrid wasn't able to finish them off far more impressively than they did.

It is hard to believe that Real Madrid needed a penalty in 90+10 to get those 3 points. In addition to that Rayo Vallecano played with 10 players for over 20 minutes.

All of this demonstrates that Arbeloa hasn't fixed anything.
