The fatigue is one problem, injury is yet another one. We have seen players who get a lot more frequently injured these days because they are playing a much faster style of playing as well, so between playing a lot faster and also playing a lot more games they end up getting more injured as well.

And by near the end of the season when we are in spring, the games are not even that great because players are not playing with their full energy, the ones who are not injured are just tired.

I think that the biggest concern here is fatigue, not style of play, because in modern world football,  high intensity is part of the game.
 So the solution to fatigue is squad debth, because if you have a good squad debth that you can rely on, fatigue will hardly set in, which I believe is the main  cause of injuries.

Furthermore, featuring a player in a higher volumes of games can easily cause injuries, because games are coming tick and fast, so that is another thing coaches need to avoid, by having a reliable cover up to avoid such a situation.

Very hard game for Atletico Madrid today in Copa del Rey against Barcelona, Barcelona always beat Simeone teams and worst of that this seems to be the only cup where Atletico can have a chane to grab something in this season so they need a good result today in the first game of the leg. The main problem is Barcelona can also destroy them and put Atletico in an even worst condition.

There chances of winning any trophy this season is close to zero unless they find a way to beat Barcelona, especially now that Barcelona are facing a huge attacking deficit with Raphinha, Rashford and even Pedri out on injury, this is a chance for ATM.

This matchup should not be taken lightly, inasmuch as I condescend ATM alot, one thing they are good at is tormenting both Real Madrid and Barcelona. I will be looking to see what Ademola Lookman will do.

Atletico Madrid Madrid are not in a good form this season, but still they cannot be underestimated because I'm very sure they will pull out a strong performance against Barcelona today. And with Raphinha, Rashford and Pedri missing in Barcelona lineup today due to their injuries honestly it's going to be a big challenge for them because they're one of Barcelona best players. I like Hansi Flick lineup in this match, as he's planing to start Dani Olmo from the flank in replacement of Raphinha and Rashford, I think this is the best he can do in that position, either he use Dani Olmo or Fermi Lopez I believe they both can fit to that wing. I know this going to be a tough match I'm confident that Barcelona will celebrate victory in this game.

Barcelona is currently losing by 2:0 in the first half, Atletico Madrid quickly scored 2 goals within 14 minutes of play, though the first goal was an own goal. I can see that the injuries of Barcelona players are affecting them seriously because it's been long i saw them losing a game at an early time in the first half. Anyways, since they will still play a second leg, Barcelona might be more prepared then than they are now because i don't see them escape this lose tonight because despite that they have more ball possession, but Atletico Madrid is attacking more and scoring goals. As for the big odd given to Barcelona, it's a big game because Atletico is one of the rivals of Real Madrid and Barcelona and since they are playing from home, the advantage of winning is more centered on them.

I'm shocked here, I opened my phone to check scores online and I'm surprised to see that Barcelona is down by 2 - 0 in just less than 29 minutes, from the statistics Barcelona is having more than 60% of possession although I'm not even surprised with that. 2 - 0 is a huge advantage but Barcelona can still make something off the game as the time is very much young. Last season the was how intense and interesting the semi final of the Copa del Rey between Atletico Madrid Vs Real Madrid was as well and coupled with the fact that there was lots of goals in the encounter, maybe that will likely happen here again tonight.

How could we not, I mean, Barcelona is arguably the best team in the Laliga but in this Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona fixtures, Atletico Madrid have got them figured out real good. Someone did his home work and have got runners on all sides of the pitch, taking advantage of Barcelona’s high line defense and punishing them with every attempt on goal. It just keeps coming and unavoidably so for Barcelona.

Many times the love we have for one club can make us bet wrong even though we know that the chances of them losing the match are there because of their key player being injured.

Injury is really a big setback for Barcelona, seems they will concede more goals in the second half. The arrival of Ademola Lookman is changing and revitalizing Atletico Madrid and it is interesting to know that Lookman scored the third goal in their 5:0 win over Real Betis in their last Copa del Rey match and today he also scored the third goal against Barcelona. I  think he will explore more at Atletico Madrid than his previous club. With the way the game is going I don’t think there’s any comeback in this besides Barcelona lack the players to get back into this game. When I first saw the squad list I knew it was going to be very difficult for Barça to win I wasn’t expecting this level of humiliation.
Truly Ademola Lookman is a great addition to this Simeone’s side, man is acting like Luis Diaz of Bayern… Just walked straight into the squad and is doing wonders, would have been two goals for him but one was given as own goal.
I’m sure his luck for trophies will drive Atletico to win this one (Copa Del Rey).
