This was not what we expected but sometimes, the games tend to end up this way. I’m just seeing it now, Athletico Madrid is leading the game with 3 goals straight. I once pitched tenth with Barcelona to win a treble this season but seeing what is happening, i don't have confidence in that anymore. I just hope that they are able to win a trophy this season with the way they are going about everything.

You should be able to also dominate and win the game, you need to convert the chances and make sure that you take a solid lead in the game. Barcelona have been able to win over the first step of victory in a game and that is them taking full possession of the game, but not being able to take over by number of goals will make the first one useless. Atletico Madrid has already won this one and I would give them all accolades deserving of this game, it is not always about the dominance in the pitch but how to convert their chances to goal quickly.

What a match. It's out of my control I guess and I didn't think about this scenario for a big match.

Atletico are very unpredictable and in this match their schemes were so good that they just waited until Barcelona's youngsters gave them a big gap in their defense and then they scored easily.
Now the second half is still no different, Barcelona are still as dominant as ever but Atletico are looking more and more comfortable waiting and parking the bus especially with this aggregate in the first leg of course it's a very good thing for them to keep the goal deficit because the bigger the difference in agrefat the more confident they will be to reach the final.

Although I'm not watching this match but I can predict that Barcelona dominancy is just within the mid field. This can be predicted from their total shots especially from their on target. Presently they only have 4 shots on target while Atletico with less possession has 7.  The most embarrassing here is for Barca playing a goaless defeat against Atletico. Well, the game  hasn't ended yet but I doubt if Barca will have a goal in this match. If they end up with a 4-0 defeat, them they can hardly proceed because Atletico will play all defensive game in second leg just to cut of Barca from the tournament.

You don't have to be surprised seeing Atletico Madrid beating Barcelona 4:0 in a semi final game remember this same Atletico Madrid has also beaten Real Madrid 5:2 I nthe league this season so it's no longer new that they have a good record over the big teams this season in their league. Barcelona is still a good team they know that a little mistake cdn deprive them of winning the league so they will be careful henceforth to avoid making mistake they will make Real Madrid to overtake them.

Let’s be honest, nobody was really expecting this scenario, Atletico Madrid was super strong with counterattack and played well. Alot of things can be deduced from this but once again, squad quality played a huge role in this defensive disaster for Barcelona and the funniest thing is they went cleansheet, the outstanding performance in that match was definitely Giuliano Simeone, that boy worked Balde to the extreme.

So unfortunate for Barcelona like this is a huge goal given to Barcelona from Athletic Madrid. Diego Simeone has always been a threat in Spain. It was the number of quality of players they were lacking and inconsistency that makes them not as dominating as before.

The defeat was really massive, Barcelona defense was nothing to write home about, just see the way the strikers of ATM was bypassing their defense, the goal would have even been more than four if you consider the numbers of goal that was missed by Antoine Griezman and the likes... I didn’t expect Barcelona to be humiliated 4–0 by Atletico, I think it was clrear one of Barcelona worst performances this season. Even though Hansi Flick fielded the same defensive lineup as when they kept a clean sheet against Mallorca recently, the final result was extremely disappointing.

This shows that Hansi Flick still needs to experiment to find the ideal defensive formation so the team doesn’t concede so many goals in a single match, regardless of priorities and the team’s needs in different competitions. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid truly capitalized on the momentum. They only need to play it safe in the second leg to secure their place in the final.
