Barcelona's Copa del Rey exit was quite painful as the heavy defeat they suffered in the match showed they were unprepared. I've run out of words to describe how disbelieving I was of Barcelona performance when they couldn't score a single goal against Atletico. The first half was considered over and I wasn't actually interested in watching the second half. The defense was constantly pressured by the attacks of Lookman, Griezman and today outstanding performance by Giuliano Simeone, he was a serious threat when dribbling towards the Barcelona defense. Frankly, I was quite surprised to find out  that Barcelona lost to Atletico Madrid ... It wasn't because of the loss, but because they conceded four goals without reply. This is still the first leg, but I am doubtful that  Barcelona can turn things around in the second leg, even though they have the advantage of playing at home. It's pointless to have good  ball possession if your defense coordination is poor. Barcelona may win the second leg, but scoring more than four  goals seems like a very daunting mission.

I think Barcelona surprised many of us yesterday. Even if I considered that they might lose, I thought it would be by no more than one goal, but I definitely did not expect 4-0. Now I think Flick can calmly focus on La Liga and the Champions League because Atletico are strong enough to hold such an advantage in the second leg.

As the game started I wasn't really surprised seeing Barcelona loss to Atletico Madrid, if you saw the way Barcelona played then you shouldn't be surprised one bit, Atletico Madrid was the better side on that night, they played with much intensity and dedication and were unstoppable,
though there some areas where the referee faltered but even at that the home side did a good job and it is now left for Barcelona to see if they can turn things around in the return leg which I think would be very difficult.

Barcelona is in the process of its down fall. It's all caused by Flick's stubborness to keep playing highline when his team is not ready yet. He keeps repeat the same pattern against big club while it's never worked. At this point, i think he's already out of ideas.

Like what you see how all of defenders in his team got low rating. It's proving how his strategy can't suit well to his club when they fought strong team. So he has stop his tubborness to keep play high line. The better using mixed strategy to ensure opponent can't read his pattern.

By the way, Barcelona lose 4 goals at the first leg. It's humiliating loss for them. they are also unlikely making a comeback in the second leg. So it should be a reminder for delusional barcelona fans if their team are not gonna win everything. Calling their squad as a superb squad is just far from the reality.

Really down fall performance Barcelona last night when defeating by Atletico Madrid at first leg semifinal match of Copa del Rey, usually Joan Garcia as Barcelona goal keeper playing well in La Liga match but this time has bad performance and got lower ranting points all of players. First goals conceded is really fatal mistake after back pass from Eric Garcia can't controlling well without get high pressure from Atletico Madrid players.

Its bigger score loss for Barcelona in this season after performing well last several games, however almost possible make comeback for second leg match indeed playing at Camp Nou not easy have to win four goals or five goals if want qualify to final round. Atletico did not only fantasticlly win this Copa de Rey match but also gave Barcelona a good wipe in the asss. I am really amazed with the outcome of yesterday’s match at least for the Atletico guys. I least expected it and if there was going to be any bets placed by me for the course of this match, I will have actually played Barcelona to win and this’ll have meant lost of skates from my end because with this outcome, it would have been a disappointing bet. Although since I did not play the bet, I am excited for the Atletico Madrid guys to have successfully won the game yesterday with a great margin of four goals to none.

Even if Atletico madrid had won by 2 goals, barcelona would have had the chance to perform well at home and qualify for the final. But Barcelona lost the away match by a huge margin of 4-0 . It's a shame for Barcelona. I thought barcelona would win the copa del rey title. But this is no longer possible. Now barcelona have to give full effort in La Liga. They are only  1 point ahead of madrid. Barcelona will  also lose the top spot in La Liga if they can not continue their winning streak.

Barcelona's crushing defeat against Atletico Madrid was a harsh blow for them and even for Hansi Flick. The defeat in the first leg of the Copa del Rey has slimmed Barcelona's chances of making a comeback in the second leg. Barcelona must win by a margin of five goals in the second leg. But I personally think that it will be very difficult or even it's not impossible for Barcelona to do so. They need a miracle to win by such a margin. I'm sure many fans are disappointed with the result. And Barcelona's chances of winning the Treble seem very slim. Barcelona's focus will likely shift to the Champions League and the domestic league given their slim chances of progressing in the Copa del Rey. Barcelona learned a valuable lesson from this match. They need to pay attention to their many defensive shortcomings. This nightmare will always haunt them if they don't fix it immediately.

Today there was not good match between Atlético de Madrid football team and Barcelona football team because only one team performance was good in this match and 4 players did goals in this match and Atlético de Madrid was a team who won this match one handed by creating pressure on opponent team as García was  a person who did first goal of the match and he did this goal at 7 minutes of the match and he gave good start at the few min of the match because opponent team could not handle the pressure of the match because players have low experience and fans have expectations from them but they could not play well in this match and they lose this match by doing no goal in this match.

It's only the 1st leg but you have to think thT at 4-0 it is probably too much for Barcelona to do in the 2nd leg to reach the final.

I wasn't even surprised by Atletico Madrid's victory; I expected Barcelona's defeat as soon as I realized Barcelona was more focused on their next La Liga game against Girona because Real Madrid is very close to them.

Atletico Madrid doesn't compare to Barcelona and Real Madrid. it's an inferior team. Atletico Madrid isn't fighting for the title.

In the last 9 games where both teams faced each other, Barcelona won 6 and Atletico only won 2. Of course, for Atlético, the Copa del Rey is a competition they need to take much more seriously because it will give them some trophy, since in La Liga they don't have any chance in any season.

I really don't understand Barcelona's defense in that match, as in just half-time, Barcelona had already been slaughtered by Atletico Madrid four times. And even if we look at the chances that didn't result in goals, there were plenty because every counterattack Atletico Madrid launched always looked dangerous and couldn't be contained by the Barcelona defense. This raises a big question: is the absence of Pedri and Raphinha a bit of a disorganized Barcelona team, making it weaker?

I too have been through the same situation as you. I never imagined that the match would end like this or that Barcelona would perform so poorly. I thought the match would be exciting and there would be a hard fight between the two teams but I didn't see anything like that, instead I saw my team playing badly and heading towards defeat. I never expected Barcelona to perform like this and get defeated 4-0. I hope they don't perform like this in the upcoming matches.

I really don't concentrate on this match yesterday because I thought Barcelona will win but the way I was seeing notification of scores I couldn't believe it until I open it and see it clearly. Atletico Madrid are also among the strong team in La Liga apart from Barcelona and Real Madrid, I think by now Barcelona will stop to laugh at Real Madrid when they receive their own share against Atletico Madrid. Barcelona fans were so shocked yesterday with the massive goals they conceded, a warm up for the next team they are playing against because i know there will know their weak point by now.

I don't agree about it at all honestly. You should check out his previous matches again. He scored or made assists for 7 matches in a row until this one in the Copa del Rey. His rating was always high.

There is no point in arguing that atletico madrid played well. But I can not find any reason for such a  strange performance by barcelona. We were certainly expecting a competitive  match. But the match was one-sided . Perhaps the barcelona players lost confidence. They did  not get the right direction.

In the seventh minute of  the match, defender Eric garcia made a mistake and barcelona conceded the first goal. After that, barcelona's defense collapsed badly. Barcelona was 4 -0 down in the first half. I can not remember the last time barcelona conceded 4 goals in 45 minutes.

The first leg of the Copa del Rey semi final is still a shocker to most of us, what a score line, sometimes I wished it was a league match that this happened. Barcelona dominated the game with the ball as usual while Atletico Madrid were busy scoring the goals, it's like, ok Barcelona you can keep the ball while we score the goals, fair deal. Ademola Lookman and Alvarez combined to score goal number 3 and 4 among themselves. 4 goal at HT, mehhn this is really incredible and looks like a dream still to me, if it were the other way round, it won't have made waves like this though. We await the return leg at Camp Nou.

I'm all in shock but it must be said that Atletico Madrid have done an exceptional job, these players have shown that they can win and that they can do it with any team they want, so also keep an eye on the championship now, it's getting really interesting because they can really do great things.

Of course, this big win puts their chances of advancing to the next round within reach. I didn't expect Barcelona to lose 4-0 even though it was only with a thin score, by looking at the match last night, it was true that in the first half Atletico Madrid was lucky because they managed to score a lot of goals.
With 4 goals behind in the first leg, catching up with this large goal deficit is a bit difficult for Barcelona to catch up, and I think Atletico is now quite calm.

The second leg is still quite a while away and Barcelona will likely have the two players you mentioned (Pedri and Raphinha) back if all goes well. Regarding the odds, I believe that the probability is very low to reach the final, but Barcelona can be expected to win the match. Atletico Madrid will likely adopt a defensive and counter-attacking style as before, but I believe Barcelona can score a few goals if they manage to take the lead from half-time.

With the second leg taking place next month, Barcelona will obviously shift their focus to La Liga. There are 3 important matches throughout February that they have not played, namely against Girona, Levante and Villarreal. In La Liga, Barcelona still leads the standings, so their focus now is to play well and continue to lead the standings with a points advantage over their rivals.
