What else did Atletico do? against the 17th ranked team they were destroyed 3-0 without reply, who would have expected it because they should be able to easily beat Rayo or at least a bad result is a draw.

Why most people are crying foul play about the penalty was that it was actually soft even though their was no clear contact with the ball, because something like that in the  English premier league might be waves off by the referee since they were soft. But regardless of the penalties, real madrid deserves the winning in the game because they were a lot more effective and efficient in the game than real sociedad.

Additionally, I also think that those that are pushing with the narrative that real madrid were favoured by the referee in that game were more of Barcelona fan, than neutral fans, since they think that their position at the top of the table is threatened.

@Verdinio I think your post has been submitted twice maybe this is due to poor internet connection and I have had this experience several time and as for Real Madrid they are really playing fine and their last game was impressive, defeating Real sociedad 4:1 was huge one for them and they will be glad to see Barcelona lose to Girona today but this may not be possible because Barcelona will fight to go back to the first position and as for the champions league and I can not say for sure because Benfica is a team that disturbs Real Madrid.

First of all I don't think i would take their head to head seriously even though it's important but girona are not really in the same form as they used to be, they might not really score up to three goals but based on barcelona's recent performance they are definitely going to use this game a way to make up for the game they lost previously. The best option here is Barcelona to win in full time or either half.

The mental preparation can actually be a really true case because for sure it is very much needed.  If they are not going to the champions league with a solid and strong mentality to win, it will be a huge problem for them as they need that mental toughness against a side like Benfica who also has similar mentality, the wins in the last liga will keep them in check mentally to stay ready for that UCL fixture.

Despite this thing happen in our era I still find it difficult to believe, because if I'm asking about this situation how can I explain Atletico Madrid  performance or should I say they are very good because they win against Barcelona with a very huge goal gap or should I say they are the worst team in the league because they won 5 - 0 against Betis and when they have an encounter again they find difficult to win that particular match, which mean them lose point in that match against Betis, in their last match they were defeated 3-0 against Rayo.

I don't think Atlantico Madrid are ready to compete for the title this season because their performance look confusing, I don't know which class I will even classify them, how can you rate their performance, is it very good or very poor?
