This is a pretty important match for Barca because if Girona plays defensively in this match, Barca may find it difficult to score goals, and that could lead to a draw. although I don't expect Girona to play so well that they cause problems for Barca, if they are able to maintain their game and minimize mistakes then it's possible they could get a draw in this match.

let's see if Barca can dominate this match and score more goals to secure 3 points and overtake Real Madrid in the standings.

I watched the match till half time and I must say that Barcelona really did dominated the game and they had more chances on goal than Girona did. Despite all the chances created for goal by Barcelona, they have not being able to convert any including missing of the penalty kick by Lamine Yamal. The second half has started few minutes ago, while Barcelona still dominates the game, they have not being able to score any goal so far and this has been a big challenge on their own end to be honest. Having 18 shots with only two on target is not impressive, they need to do better if they want to win this game. Girona shouldn’t be a big problem to them because even their position on the table is not really what I assume to make the game a challenging one for Barcelona to beat them.

Based on h2h, both teams have always scored and the matches usually average over 3.5 goals, and they’ve never ended in a draw. I did think for a moment that maybe this game could bring a surprise result, and a draw might happen. But logically, that seems very unlikely because Barcelona are highly motivated to overtake Madrid, who are currently sitting at the top of the table.
Based on their past meetings, betting on over 3.5 goals or BTTS (Yes) looks like a solid option. But since I’m not a Barcelona fan, I’ll take the risk and go with BTTS (No) or under 4 goals instead.

It looks like it's going to be the end albeit with a lot of extra time now but the pattern is still the same even though Barcelona are upping the ante very quickly at the moment.
The game is almost over and if the situation doesn't change (Barcelona lose or possibly equalize in extra time) then Madrid have the advantage now because they'll be top of the table again and that's what I expected.

But honestly this extra time is much more interesting for me than normal time lol.

What a chaotic night for FC Barcelona as they lost 2:1 to Girona in a match that they scored the first goal but i don't understand how they played that made them lose this game. I know that they will be capitalizing on the penalty missed by Lamine Yamal but even if he scored it would have just been a draw match. Since Barcelona has lost their match to Girona, it automatically confirms Real Madrid as the top team with a gap of 2 points against Barcelona and i don't think they will be losing out the top position anytime soon because they have been struggling for a long time to reclaim the top but to no avail but an opportunity has just presented itself and i believe they will really not drop points at least not anytime soon.

I think Barcelona form has dropped dramatically, losing to Atletico and now dropping 3 points to Girona, mentally the players seem to have lost confidence, whether Fran Beltrán goal was deemed a foul or not the fact remains that Girona took 3 points. Barcelona are in poor form and their defense is getting weaker. this could cost them towards the end of the season. The final minute was full of drama and well as entertainment the red card was quite a drag as a finale, especially when Barcelona begged for a penalty. lol
With this result Real Madrid managed to stay at the top of the standings with a difference of 2 points.

Girona did not look like a team that wanted to loose the game, they believed they could get the win and the scored the important goal at the right time to give Barcelona another loss. Real Madrid supporters celebrated the result more in the viewing center where I watched the game because they now have a two point lead on the La Liga table. It is costly to Barcelona's hope to win the La Liga to be dropping points at this time when there are not very many games left to the end of the season, just fourteen games. They need to sit up if they really want to win the league, they cannot afford to loose another game as they now have to play chase, trying to pass Real Madrid.

Girona was prepared for Barcelona in the game after losing in the first half they came out looking more prepared, they pressured Barcelona until they were able to score goal to equal the score with Barcelona. Since they were more lucky and created more chances the second goal which helped them defeat Barcelona arrived in the 87th minutes they took the advantage scored and defended it till the last minute. Barcelona needs to work on their defense because if they let this mistakes to continue it's going to be difficult to see them winning the league now that they are back to the 2nd position.

Honestly i never expected this from the Catalan side because they were too good like their capacity are much more better than the Girona but they still did nothing and finished the match in lose. Previously they lose against Atlatico Madrid in a bad toes despite now they didn't get back their ability and lose again for Girona. I don't know what happens to Barcelona, like, literally, what's wrong with them. Consistently they were performing super brilliant performance but unfortunately now they lose the momentum and lose back to back matches.....
