Barcelona is 7 points ahead of its previous season by round 26, Real Madrid (if it wins the match tonight) will be 9 points ahead of the previous season.
In Cl, Real finished just with the same number of points as last time 15, while Barca dropped from 19 to 16.
Also, again if RM wins the difference will be 1 point, unlike 3 points last year by round 26 and they would also have a better GD by at least 4, while Brca is lower by one.

So no, all numbers by this round point to RM improving more than Barca compared to last season!

Well that’s true from stats, but looking at their respective financial stability, Barcelona has been struggling with finance in the past two season, they are not able to sign players they want and they are also losing some players due to wage bills and so on, while Real Madrid have money to sign players more than Barcelona, so a lot is expected from them. And for the fact that their fans are hoping the team too much, we are expecting the team to have performed better than they are performing now, and that’s the reason why people are seeing it as if they are underperforming regardless of what they did last season.

Furthermore, I don’t Arbeloa is not a coach that will be good for Real Madrid’s standard, so I am expecting the team management to either give him more time or look for a reputable manager with experience to coach the team next season if he didn’t win trophy for the team.

It is past 30th minutes of the game and Madrid still not looking like they will get a goal in this first half of the game. I see that vinicius is trying to deliver the team as he did last time and it is very true that in the absence of Mbappe vinicius does try to really fill in for his absence and make sure the team still keeps up with good results and considering what Madrid is looking to get out of this game, they are likely to do better in the second half hopefully.

Currently the score is 0-1 with Getafe leading the game, Madrid needs to put more pressure on Getafe because they are 1 goal behind, even though Madrid has much more possession of the ball, but if Getafe is able to continue playing defensively until the end of the game it will be troublesome for Madrid. hopefully in the second half Madrid can play more pressure and make more effective attacks because they need to win at home.

I know this is just the first half and anything can happen in the second half of the game but we can clearly see that the Madrid side is having a little issue, they could already gotten a goal by now. I wonder what Arbeloa would do to solve this issue because they can't lose or draw to Getafe either because apparently the League is all they have now.

Gatefe was able to broke the deadlock on the 39th minutes with a beautiful strike from Satriano which went to the last top corner of the goal post preventing Courtois from stopping the ball. Of course, Gatefe defense didn't give Vini the opportunity to penetrate their defense easily despite trying several times.

The second half might be in favor of Real Madrid if the right changes are made. Madrid was unable to create much chances in the first half to find the back of the net. Satriano goal makes the difference in the scoreline 0-1.

You can't just make conclusion when the game as not finished yet, madrid are doing well but is just that football is unpredictable sometimes anything happens. I still get the believe that Madrid need to find a way out to achieve the victory in the second half. Let see how the second half will goes. And the coach need to put Rodrygo in to make the game Balance more gonzalo is not really doing well in the match they need to substitute him and bring fresh blood. The first half is over, madrid played very well. They completely  dominated the match. But at the end of the first half, madrid is 1-0 behind.

We can see madrid's dominance from the beginning of the match. There is no doubt that they were able to create many attacking opportunities. They were even able to make several powerful shots. But we have to  admit that getafe's defense and goalkeeper are playing great. As a result , despite a powerful attack , madrid could not score any goals. Madrid had 80% of the ball possession in the first  half. This shows that Madrid's players are controlling the match.

Satriano scored a wonderful goal in the 39th minute . It was not possible for goalkeeper courtois to stop the shots. It was a fascinating goal

But I don't know what is happening to this madrid side, after the sack of Alonso Madrid were playing good and started getting results but, all of a sudden results are no longer going their way. This is strange to me that, Madrid is struggling to score a side like Getafe at home .

I think this will be the right time for Getafe to play defensively because the scoreline is 0-1, Getafe is leading by one goal and the first half ended. I'm still confident that Real Madrid do a comeback because I believe they will perform much better in the second half and put pressure on Getafe but if Getafe can hold their defense strongly the game might end up a draw. Real Madrid been dominating them but they haven't had a chance to score and honestly I will be very happy if Real Madrid lose this game so that they be gap in points between them and Barcelona in the table.
