There was a decent gap between the two legs, and they had enough time to prepare properly for a comeback. Their performance did improve, to be fair but it just didn't work out. Still, in a two-legged tie, the first leg is just as important as the second, and that's where it really cost them.
Lesson learned, hopefully. Losing like this hurts, but at least the effort and performance were much better this time. I just hope FC Barcelona can carry this improvement into La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. Visca Barca, always.

This Atletico Madrid is a very funny side, you had all the advantages, 4 - 0 and you go into the match with a mindset of defending, what's even wrong with this team. You put your fans under immense pressure especially after the 3rd goal went in.

As much as I hate it when teams pack the bus, that is the best Atletico can do in this match. Playing any other way would have been disastrous for them. If they had thrown men in attack and left their defence with only about 5 or 6 players, Barcelona would have scored more goals. The Barcelona team that showed up yesterday were simply too superior for them to compete against. They won almost every challenge, got to the ball first and didn't allow Atleti much time on the ball. They won the balls back very quickly, so defending was the best Atletico could play.

I do not understand why Barcelona played that way in the first leg. Maybe it was the absence of Pedri. If they had played half the way they played yesterday in the first leg, they would have lost 4-0. They could have at least scored a goal or two.
They can only blame themselves for conceding 4 goals in the first leg.

Barcelona came very close to taking this match to extra time, but Atletico held on. It's a shame Barcelona suffered such a crushing defeat in the first leg. I'm honestly surprised they managed to win the return leg so well, I thought they wouldn't even waste any energy on this game, but it was a good match. It turned out to be two completely opposite matches. In the first one, Atletico completely dominated, in the second Barcelona were in total control. In both games, there were heavy wins for different teams. Barcelona showed why they are the best team in La Liga this season and Atletico Madrid once again showed that they are one of the most useless team in the world, we all know that Barcelona will dominate the game and that is how Barcelona played their game but conceding 3 goals against Barcelona without scoring any goal is one of the worst performance I’ve ever seen, how did Atletico Madrid even manage to score 4 goals against Barcelona? They did not deserve to be in the final because they did not show any effort to be in the final.

Atletico Madrid did not choose to play defensive it is the pressure from Barcelona that is forcing them to go back, I'm also seeing it that judging from the first leg, Atletico Madrid wants to play defensive so that they could maintain the initial aggregate because of the goal difference but they are forgetting that that margin can be closed anytime. Atletico Madrid are very lucky to have qualified, because I don't understand how a team of Atletico Madrid capacity will come into this match with 4 goals advantage, and ended almost throwing it away. All good for them at least their game plan worked out for them. Go to Camp Nou and don't concede as much as Barcelona did in the first leg.

Last year something similar happened with Inter in the Champions League, even though they scored a lot (3 goals in each game) Barcelona was knocked out because Inter scored 7. I'm a Real Madrid fan (and the last round was a real pain) but I have to admit that Barcelona plays very brightly, but from the point of view of tournaments with elimination games it's too risky.
