I wouldn't say that things has gone from bad to worse because even in the era of xabi Alonso, they weren't doing exceptionally well, though most of their fans has more hope then than now, but right now they are trailing Barcelona with four points of the top spot and they are pitched against Manchester City in the UEFA champions League, which looks like the end of the road for them, so unless something miraculous happens, nothing will stop them from going trophyless again this season.

Something miraculous has finally happened, which appears impossible at first for Real Madrid to ever win Manchester City in today's Champions League match because of their key players having injuries.

Madrid management was too hasty in firing Alonso. Normally we don't see Madrid management taking such important decisions so quickly. But they made the decision with Alonso very quickly. They should have fired Alonso after finding an experienced manager. But they didn't. They gave the inexperienced Arbeloa the job. For a while we saw consistency in Madrid's performance. But at the moment Madrid's performance has become erratic. It will probably continue like this until the end of the season.

Yes because I can imagine how better the team would have been playing now if they had Alonso around would have improved better than this now but I guess they all had taken some lessons from this and it is also not like Arbeloa is not as experienced as he is but looks a bit pushy to success when he’s handle the situation for the Real Madrid. After the victory which was recorded by the Real Madrid against Man City today, I must salute Arbeloa for his confidence and persistence to beat Guardiola’s squad.

Real Madrid's squad is very strong. No one will argue with that. Their main weakness is their match strategy  and the lack of good communication between the players. And  that's why their performance is inconsistent. And they are not able to perform consistently well.

Real madrid performed incredibly well against real madrid yesterday. Honestly, I did not expect Madrid to play so well without Mbappe. But Valverde changed the whole scenario of the match. Valverde's hat-trick in  the first half gave Madrid a 3-0 lead. All three goals were impressive. Madrid would have won 4-0  if Vinicius hadn't missed the penalty.

Honestly,, I didn't expect Madrid to win so decisively in this match. Because initially in the first leg, I thought Real Madrid would only be able to win by a narrow margin or even a draw. But it turns out Real Madrid was able to prove that in this match they are capable of playing well. Besides,, I was also quite impressed with Valverde because he was the one who scored three goals in this match for Real Madrid. So I think it was a truly excellent match from Real Madrid.

So with this,, Real Madrid has very high hopes of being able to advance to the next round. However,, Real Madrid should not be satisfied yet, because in the second leg, Manchester City could turn things around if Real Madrid performs poorly. Therefore, Real Madrid must continue to perform well in the upcoming second leg. Because even though Real Madrid is currently quite far ahead, but in the UCL sometimes nothing is impossible. Therefore,, I think now is not the time to be happy for Real Madrid, because their struggle is not over.

Yesterday game was something else, because not only Real Madrid, even the game of Chelsea surprised me, but that is Real Madrid, is on something else. After many months, I probably saw a  perfect gameplay from Real madrid. I was really impressed by real madrid's gameplay. In the match, madrid's best striker Mbappe was not in the squad. Naturally, we considered manchester city as the favorite. But the result was  completely opposite.

Both teams were able to perform well from the beginning of the match. But due to Valverde's incredible good  performance, Manchester city fell behind. I am sure madrid's first goal surprised everyone. Valverde attacked very quickly and was able to score the goal. Valverde scored 3 goals in the first half. Even though mbappe and Bellingham were not in  the squad, madrid secured a big victory due to Valverde's good performance.

I don't think Valverde could have been this effective even with Mbappé. He played magnificently in this match and was more than just a midfielder. I love his ability to step up in such crucial matches. The goals he scored were examples of his skill. If Vinicius Junior hadn't missed the penalty, the match would have ended with four goals, but he took a very poor penalty, preventing the game from going any further. We could have seen even more goals if Mbappé had been there. If Mbappé plays in next week's match, Real Madrid can win again.

I would consider the manager's inexperience as one of the reasons for Madrid's erratic performance. The bonding between Madrid's players is weak. Arbeloa has not been able to strengthen the bonding. At the same time, I am not satisfied with Arbeloa's match strategy.

Real Madrid is definitely an irregular team that doesn't have good performances but let's say that Real Madrid is still a fearsome team even if they are no longer in form as always, i have to say that these players are now going through a reorganization phase and this will take time but i think they can do well and can still win something.

I would say this was the most important match of Federico Valverde's career. I was super dissapointed by the game made by Barcelona, i mean what the hell was that? Newcastle dance with them and they deserve the win by far, Barcelona were super lucky finding that late penalty thanks to a silly defender of Newcastle.

And to Flick why Rasfhord so late? Man he comes from Premier League he knows how to score against them.

Tbh, they were so lucky although there was an opportunity  to actually  build for goal before the foul on olmos but then there's always a 60% chance they miss it so they were still lucky with the penalty.

Flick makes late decisions and quite stubborn with his highline game, won't  still blame him too much with his squad depth.
It cost them alot but it also gave them a chance to rule out the first goal from Newcastle.
