You are right that Vinicius Junior is having hard time with 9 goals in 26 games, but team has shown to be able to win when team star is not scoring. Personally, I feel that Valverde has turned into main man in team in meanwhile and even though Vini has to get back his shape in the final of Champions League, with speed that team has picked up, they can be seen as strong power as far as La Liga title is worried. Although I agree with your point about fact that they are playing badly, it is important to say that change started with win over Celta Vigo just before City "blast." After all, you are correct that Madrid is on right path and it is only one point below Barcelona in title run.

Federico Valverde has scored just three goals in 27 matches, which is definitely not a good statistic. He has not scored a goal in 9 matches in the UCL, he has only scored 3 goals in the last match. Valverde statistics are not good and he played well in one match so it was not expected that he would play well in the next match too but he did score a goal in the match against Elche. Vinicius has not been able to score but he is playing fast as a forward and has assisted many goals. Vinicius may be disappointed with his individual performance but his efforts are there and his problem is that he is more inclined to score goals alone which is why he is deprived of many goals most of the time. Because they won their two last matches with high goals we can actually say that their performance has improved but we should also know that the two club that they won is not also in a good form Man city is a struggling club this season so as Elche too lets watch them win more matches again before we can conclude that Real madrid overall performance has improved.

There is no need to look for a puskas award this season because Arda guler goal is already the winner, what a goal from him, he has tried the type of goal before against Osasuna when he made his debut in La Liga and he failed but at the end he tried again and he score the best goal of the season, many players has improved under Arbeloa and Arda Guler is part of those players, Real Madrid is now playing like a team, they are working together, attacking and defense together and that makes any player can score goal for the team.

It was never a match that was in doubt not after that 5 star performance against Manchester city. Elche have struggled all season and it more like a culture for them to lose at bernabue every season, well it a good one from Real Madrid and now they need to take this spirit into their game on Tuesday when they travel to Ethihad.
