What even made the game so interesting was coming from behind to beat Athletical Madrid. It was a heated game indeed and Real Madrid was fighting for a revenge after suffering a disgraceful first leg. Valverde red card could not ruin the game as real Madrid had to get more defensive to preserve the goals they already had.

It was really an intense game as expected, and this game shows all the characteristics of a derby game, though I honestly never expected the game to be an end to end attacking games like it was, since both teams are good on the break and are some how defensive minded, but you are actually right that real madrid where just lucky in the game because the red card came very late and atletico madrid where less efficient and effective as they were in the first half.

Arbeola has brought out Vini Junior true potential. Most of his goals I have seen this season(except PK though) has been one hell of a goal, he curves the ball in a way that no goal keeper on this planet can even save it... Also I commend the effort of Velverde the speedster... He is majorly a midfielder but with his speed and IQ he is able to drop to either rwf/or rb... He is such an amazing player and he didn't deserve the red card that he got at all, yellow card would have sufficed since it didn't go to knee of the player.. That his back tackle was aimed at the ball but mistakenly went for the players leg.. Real Madrid needed that 3 points and so regardless of being 1 man down Real Madrid still defended their goal to ensure their victory to keep themselves closer to Barcelona in their race against the La Liga title..

I think we should also talk a little about Lunin. Whenever he's in goal, he does his best and doesn't mind being a substitute. He's a magnificent goalkeeper and a fantastic professional. We enjoyed an intense match. Despite leading 1 -0 at the end of the first half, Atletico madrid lost the match. They conceded three goals in the second half. Valverde also saved real madrid in this important match. He scored two goals. And vinicius jr was able to score a goal from  the penalty spot. The players  of both teams were able to attack a lot. And we were able to see a total of 5  goals. Every match is very important for real madrid to stay in the title race. Even after winning this match, madrid is  3 points behind Barcelona.

Dude, its good to see thier battle like this, the continuation of the battles at this level between the Real Madrid and FC Barcelona is so impressive, so at this particular moment their consistency on all the matches should  be everything and I just hope the Real Madrid can continue accumulating thier points rather than dropping off points unnecessarily, thier matches now are very important and once they mistakenly drop even small points, it will definitely bring a little different in the race. However, it has shown clearly now that Barcelona aren't in a position where they would want to lose a points, they will actually likely to try and win all thier remaining matches and continue maintain their position, so if really Barcelona slightly make a mistake, the Real Madrid still have the hope and experience to climb up the table and the gap will close,  so I was impressed with the race.

And yeah, in the end Madrid beat Atletico Madrid just like I predicted. Even though some people doubted Madrid, I’ve always believed that playing at home, they’re not easy to beat. I also think if Valverde hadn’t gotten a red card, Madrid could’ve scored more than 3 goals. But anyway, I have to say Atletico showed real confidence every time they faced Madrid, scoring 2 goals as a response isn’t easy, but ATM always stay optimistic.

Real Madrid's victory was inevitable, they are in good physical shape and spirit. But Atletico were also good, they always have maximum motivation and level of play when they play against Real. In a tournament sense, yesterday's game meant nothing at all for Atletico, but they tried 100%. I'll see how they try in the games against Barcelona that await them in the nearest future (3 in a row lol).
