Marcus Rashford was not treated well recent seasons in Manchester United despite the fact that he is used to be their key player and likely Rashford no longer feels happy with Manchester United. If Barcelona won't sign a contract with Rashford, he perhaps will try to find another club to move to rather than returning to Manchester United where there is no plan for him in their squad.

Rashford is a good player and he is still young enough for playing well in next five years but his problem is always inconsistency in each season and ability to maintain quality performances season by season. He seems to be weak mentally if usually perform bad when he is under too much expectation and pressure while if he is playing freely with a position of non key player, he is able to perform better.

Seeing the current conditions I feel Barcelona actually has no doubt about Rashford's ability but they are still looking for loopholes with the clause fees they have to give Manchester United because so far seeing from Rashford's relationship with the players and the scheme carried out by Flick it has been quite unified but because the clause Barcelona expects to be as minimal as possible then in the end they try to keep trying to minimize payments and this is always a problem.

when the whole team knew that barcelona -their own team- has very bad history when play at real sociedad's home they will feel a little bit -or more- nervous instead get inspired to break that bad records , several times proven it becomes a burden.

I don't think he's the best player and i don't think he's even that essential.

Rashford isn’t a bad player, but he simply hasn’t found the right coach at Man United, so he hasn’t gotten what he needs to develop his skills. Under Hansi Flick, Rashford skills very useful as a backup, especially now that Raphinha is injured, which makes Barcelona even more in need of someone like Rashford.
