I just assumed that if there was a surprise, it would likely be a draw, not a defeat like that, I don't know what happened to Madrid, they couldn't be said to have played badly, as they dominated most of the game, but they weren't effective in capitalizing on every opportunity, no attackers could score, and the only goal was scored by a defender. As a Real Madrid fan, I don't want Barcelona to win; I support Atlético. But to be honest, Barcelona has a very good team. You understand, it won't be easy for either of these two teams. Arbeloa has been able to get brilliant results for Real Madrid since he was appointed Real Madrid's head coach, and I don't think Arbeloa tactics was the reason why Real Madrid could defeat relegation threatening Mallorca; I think Real Madrid match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League was the reason why Real Madrid lost to Mallorca but their action has cost them the title this season.

Indeed the Barcelona attacking prowess is greatly diminish, but I don't think it all factors to the absence of Raphinha but the 9 Hansi decided to pick in this match, there is a whole where the striker is suppose to be as the 9 position is not the role for Dani Olmo. I was really disappointed at the Real Madrid performance in this match against Mallorca seriously, this match wouldn't have been ended like this from from the efforts that was being applied by Real Madrid, they really played the Mallorca a fantastic game tactics which I was expecting them to perform accurately at the end, but they ended up failing. The Mallorca had actually tried thier best in this match and I wasn't expecting that they will win this match due to current form of the Real Madrid, because presently Real Madrid are in thier hot seat, and if they continue playing thier nonsense game and losing continously, definitely the league title would belong to Barcelona this season, currently Barcelona are playing against Atletico Madrid and are still having the same goals 1-1. So the time is still remaining for both of them to perform effectively to achieve the victory, well played to Atletico Madrid.

I started watching the Atletico Madrid and Barcelona match from 35th minute, and I can boldly say that Barcelona were better than Atletico Madrid from the time I started watching the match. I was surprised when Atletico Madrid got an opener but I was confident enough that Barcelona was going to score back but I didn't expect them to score back in the first half. With the red card of Nico, I don't think Barcelona would follow Real Madrid footsteps tonight. Barcelona would likely win Atletico Madrid 1-3.

The first half of Atletico vs Barcelona was an intense exchange of blows and ended very tense. Olmo didn't like Giuliano Simeone's attitude of diving for any touch and a scuffle broke out. The referee did well to quickly hand out three yellow cards.

This is a big sign that Real Madrid is going no where in the La Liga completion, because a Real Madrid loosing this match to Mallorca is very annoying and surprising result to the fans. I expected Real Madrid to win this match regardless of how they will perform.

But unfortunately Real Madrid lost this match, the second leg will be at their home and with this performance Madrid may still perform the same thing and Mallorca will win. Arbeloa should know that this is not a small club, he need to do better.

It’s normal in sports, most times you get to find out that, your flaws does over shadow your strength. Real Madrid’s loss today wasn’t expected. They had hoped they could gain in on Barcelona with a win today but, Mallorca wasn’t about to let that happen. Just when Real Madrid thought they had their way back on with an equalizer, Mallorca retook the lead in the plus minutes. It was a breaking moment for Real Madrid but all that is a testament to how they failed to take the lead from the first half and allowed Mallorca to put them under pressure.
